that "alt.music.net." forum is. I mean really, i dont. Why did Mani apparently just post there instead of choosing all the other educating/brain enlarging forums we've got

alt.music.prince (or "AMP") is a usenet message board service that used to be popular until internet message board sites became more popular, and more folks started using sites like the org, housequake, NPGMC, etc.

back when mani was posting on AMP, it was still probably pretty popular. i remember discovering AMP before i started visiting the org, way back around '96 or '97. i don't think tons of people post on it these days, but for some of us old skoolers, we can remember when it used to be the place to go.

it was were all the meanies and devilish people would post...

now it's just sad. nothing's changed really. most of the same regulars. most of the same vibe. but there's just something sad about it now. good memories though
