Buddy list? Ben, what is the purpose of the buddy list? Christopher brought it to my attention, and I have added people to it, but I don't see how it affects anything. | |

Founder | Yeah, I was wondering when someone would ask about that
Right now, the feature isn't quite complete... but the current idea is, it's like your "address book" in your e-mail program. If you go to the "Send an orgNote" link from the 'Extras' menu, the resulting page lets you type in someone's org name, and send them a note--well, you'll notice there is now a link "lookup buddy". That link will pop up your buddy list, with all your comments (those comments are only visible to YOU, to remember why you added them, who they are, maybe their real name, etc.). From the popup of names, you can just click one, and it'll go into the notes' "to:" field. There are a few other cool things you can do with a buddy list, but I haven't got them built yet, so I don't want to tease... just look for more changes in the future! ben -- "the prince.org guy" |
