I was just going to start a thread about this. The posting limits and orgnote limits are way too low. Can we get them increased, please?

Do some people not have limits? There should be no posting limits. Really, it's dumb. Org note limits I can live with, though it would make more sense to have a limit to the amount of notes you can save rather than send. | |

Please do not increase the limits. People should use their posts wisely. The forums are not chat rooms. And if you are using a second or third account, maybe that should tell you something. | |

Everyone here is quite aware of that. That's not the issue. Unles there is a rule against "chatting" or "posting a lot," your observation is irrelevant. If you feel people are abusing the forums for this or any other reason there are already mechanisms in place to deal with that. Besides there seem to be some people who don't have posting limits who "chat" anyway. I've never heard of a website that has complained about getting too many hits. And if you are using a second or third account, maybe that should tell you something.

This site has a way of building itself down. Why was the GD created? To give a place for fans to meet? No, to drain off the OT "chatting"... (because people complain, and still do; they will never stop) Why was the Love and Sex forum created? To drain off the "sex chat" from the GD... Never a constructive change, always a step down...like there's this thing against the members. The members get in the way. Newbies, oldies...whatever. People post too much? Give 'em limits.
