For what's its worth, it not working for OS X users either (at least this one).

Someone DO something!!! Please - there are no avatars and no Gallery

PLUS - I've got the poblem both at home and at work and I didn't have it either place until a couple of days ago, when suddenly I couldn't see avatars neither here nor there.

Today it has improved a bit though. Sometimes I can see some avatars, including my own. But it rarely lasts long.

Apparently virtually every image on this site
is displaying a red X. Avies & Pics.

Knowing something or 2 about computers myself I
have to say that if almost everyone execpt for the
moderators on this site can't see the images, I'm afraid that
the problem and solution lies with the org server not the
user's browser settings.

Meaning whatever was changed on the server side
is creating some sort of error for everyone else.

It's impossible that over a matter of a few hours
everyone now has a problem with their browsers.

The best thing to do now is to backtrack exactly what
changes were made,think the process over carefully,
and maybe either restore the image settings or folders to
their previous state (meaning location on server) or talk
to your domain providers about trouble shooting.


That's all I can think of.

Agreed, chaquita. It might be a good idea to orgnote Ben or Matt to suggest this to them.

I hope so too. As others have stated, the avvies come and go. Sometimes a person can see them, sometimes not.

here's an idea for ben: whatever you changed in the database or the software, or whatever it is that's different now, change it back. problem solved

Well, GhostlyNun's still refusing to return until the avvie thing is sorted.

Obviously, this will ensure some kind of action is taken as GhostlyNun's return is the most important thing here.
