we have a link on the front page about the scottish prince party on 28th may in edinburgh, which points 2 a thread - http://www.prince.org/msg/2/143402 - which is called "EVENT: 2nd scottish meetup of the year, prince music and kareoke, and hopefully dvd's "

we had 2 other threads, which r now locked, which is fine as we only need 1 in that forum obviously, but i can't edit the opening post or the thread title 2 make it sound a bit more professional as we now have finalised plans

is it possible 4 the name of the thread 2 b changed 2

"SATURDAY MAY 28TH EDINBURGH PRINCE NITE" or something like that please?

also, if the text in the 1st post box can b say deleted, i can edit the 2nd post with the appropriate details

it might b an idea if when posting events u can edit the info, or at least b warned that u can't edit it subsequently as i'm sure the events reporting has changed (altho maybe ages ago). this is y we ended up with 3 threads, 1 was asking if any1 was interested, 1 was confirming and announcing, and then the 3rd was linked from the events reporting, which i didn't know was gonna happen

if u can allow the title of the thread and the 1st post 2 b allowed 2 b edited it would help event organisers in keeping the initial information at the top of the page up 2 date in case any important details change

not on that thread. i can edit anything else, i can edit header titles on threads ive started, but it seems if a thread is started via reporting thru the events section its as if some1 else has started the thread

there isnt anything else that can b done?, ie. i start a new thread and u can lock the old 1, with a note saying check the other thread? i dont want 2 start another with the old 1 still open as the last time we had 2 open at the same time ppl were posting on both threads at the same time
