locking vs. deleting threads...

Is it just up to the Mod's mood whether a thread is deleted vs. locked? Or does a deleted thread have more severe content or something?? confused

I dunno, when I've participated in a thread I like to see what's been said since my last visit (which is the point of clicking on any of these threads) smile Maybe that's just stirring the pot when a thread has gone wrong but at least if it's locked I can't keep it going, I can only observe - what's the harm in that? Why delete it? mad
heart prince I never met you, but I LOVE you & I will forever!! Thank you for being YOU - my little Princey, the best to EVER do it prince heart

Generally we're encouraged to just lock a thread if there's a problem with it. Hiding is for something worse, like maybe a thread where someone is trying to sell bootlegs. Sometimes I'll hide a thread instead of locking it if there's nothing worth reading on it. Like when someone starts a thread, then changes their mind and edits out everything, if there's nothing to discuss theres no point in leaving the thread up.

I love threads when someone does that (deletes the content after it has been posted). Then before u guys delate it, someone always starts the thread up.

Yeah I got a bootleg one vanish.
mad

I guess the org in the past has discussed the reason for banning any bootlegs being sold or whatever.

Anxiety

if you post any requests or resources regarding bootlegs, expect those posts/threads to be gone the next time you visit. don't like it? write a letter to prince and londell. meanwhile, we gotta keep dodging the cease and desists so there'll be an org for you to post more lovely 'cum in my eye' threads. smile

funny, when i first started as a mod i would always "hide" threads...only twice have i actually deleted threads and those were personal attacks towards me....

now, i usually just lock the because i think they are good examples of what not to do for others..

Thanks for responding guys smile I'm asking in reference to a thread I found sad but amusing lol It might have spiraled into a personal attack on someone, I'm not sure since I could no longer access it, but maybe that's the reason it was nixed. It wasn't about boots or anything illegal shrug

I don't know about the deleting of whole threads, all I know is that it has become a practice here on the org for at least one mod to delete posts without any reason sad
