In the beginning...I was mostly a P & More kinda guy. With the occasional Associated Artists and seldom Other music forum guy. GD scared me...though that's because it seemed cliquy...though it's really not...you just have to get into it...and that mentality. And if you want to have fun...you gotta cause some fun. The only thing is that I have NO clue what these guys like P-wise.

Today, I strolled through P & More...I barely recognize anyone. Some of the posts are pretty scary. Same ol...what your favorite??? But I'll bet it was that way before I came to GD. More so,I find that I crave P stuff a lot less as I am not discussing him nor his music that much (um it's ALLLLL been discussed about 3 times already).

I also rarely go by the other 2 sites...they just don't interest me that much...though when I do poke around...I find that the madness is still there and we are all Prince Fiends

Has anyone had this experience of switching only to find that it was the opposite of what you thought. It's odd how I once embraced one thing yet scared of another...and now it's vice versa.

i really don't think of myself as someone who is a "native" of any one forum...maybe it's a mod thing, i dunno...but i've always felt that way. are the different forums truly so socially segregated?? i don't notice it, if they are.

You are also different than the other mods. The others don't get into the chat as much as you do...they also live in the other forums too. Like if I see HCFS in GD I'm like . And there is a different mentality and social thing going on. P & More is night and day to GD and even P&R (which is closer to GD). I do have to say it's the poeple who post...very few cross over and post in both.

My affair with the Prince:Music & More forum lasted the two days I first discovered this site. I promptly move my ass over to the Non-Prince Music forum and have happily resided there since. Around the election I was busy in P&R educating the swing voters, but haven't step foot inside since. Lately, I comb the GD for movie threads or just to lurk when I'm bored. I'm also making some friends in Prince artist community forum. It's all good, as long as you know what you're looking for.
