In light of the locked threads I know some things have gotten out of hand in some recent threads regarding banned orgers, BUT what good are forums if we are not allowed to have opinions? I cant even blame this one on men  I'm feelin kind of n-a-s-t-y

The only thread I've seen locked is the 9s petition, so I may be missing something. Still, here's my thought on that.
I think the thread needed to happen. I think people needed to be given a chance to air their thoughts. I think the mod involved was more than cooperative in the discussion. I also think it went on WAY too long. By the end, neither side was really listening to the other. People were using "quotes" with the integrity of FOX News or sumptin. Both sides had more than stated their opinion and just kept rephrasing it over and over. This is just my interpretation, but it seemed by the end of that thread both sides were no longer reading for understanding but just reading to find something to argue with. Like it or not, we ALL know this place ain't a democracy. I appreciate that the mods allowed a discussion about the 9s issue. But since we'd been told MANY times that the decision was now in Ben's hands, I think that thread had more than served its purpose. ...just the li'l opnions of endo, disregard at will... | |
