Just out of interest, what happened to bkw's thread? Is discussing moderation not appropriate for the Site Discussion forum now?

this place is gettin' out of hand IMHO

There's a Part I and a Part II of "An Honest Discussion About Site Moderation" already in progress. I didn't remove the thread, but perhaps those comments would be better on one of those two threads, make it a part of that discussion.

the discussion sorta had a resolution and the same information can be found in the "honest discussion" threads as well as the numerous existing threads about 2the9's dissappearance...



what i want to know is, since when did threads being removed start getting treated like human deaths?

You might be right, but users have been actively discouraged from contributing to those threads. There is no room for honest discussion of moderation in those threads unfortunately, so I do sort of wonder what the point of them is.
