Dumbing down I've recently returned to this site after a while away and, whilst I enjoy the banter that generally takes place amongst old friends, there does seem to be rather more pointless comment here than I remember.
Where did all the witty, clever posts go? Have we, by banning some of the more controversial figures, lost something in the process? | |

how ironic. you constantly made rude comments to me and my sister when you thought we were Aaron, asking mods why on earth Aaron could ever be allowed back. when i cleared up the situation, and publicly re-affirmed why neither I nor my sister were him, and how much he had personally hurt us, you were suddenly hugs and smiles and welcoming us with open arms. i'm not saying whether or not those people should be back here. that's none of my business (and frankly, i'd be glad if i never had to cross paths with Aaron again) but as you seem to be one of the most vocal people on the subject (how unfair to you it is when you think people you hate are here, and, to be fair, vociferous when somebody you like gets kicked off), i think it's ironic that you would express that the missing orgers have had a lobotomizing effect on the site. I agree. Where are the witty posts? although I agree with endo - the org is what you make it - I'll be the first to admit that I couldn't make such great threads even if I tried.

I think "dumbing down" is a little harsh. There are some excellent discussions going on. There's been a lot going on this year in Prince land and sometimes you just want to say yay! and check in with the vibe. And I'm guessing that the numbers have grown this year - so maybe there has been a broadening...
