The org has made me mad/sad today. I am going for a run to clear my mind and I may or may not return tonight.

I'm with SOS and Supa...I think I really need to see some specific examples of how my white brothers and sisters have been oppressed on this site.

And before narrowing my so-called "blind eye" to the dignity of rural white Christian Americans because I don't come from that experience, keep in mind that I spent the first 15 years of my life in Shelbyville, Indiana and that I have seen many - MANY - a Baptist church.

I haven't seen any posts in which people say white people should be wiped off the planet. I haven't seen any posts saying white people shouldn't marry or be allowed to raise families. I haven't seen any posts saying "I don't mind Christians, but I wish they wouldn't flaunt it in public." I haven't seen any posts calling white Christians lazy, thieving or perverted. I haven't seen any posts objectifying white Christians as nothing better than sexual playtoys or domestic servants.

I haven't seen any posts saying the world would be better off if all the white Christians in the world were wiped out.

But that's just based on MY experiences with bigotry - as a witness and as a recipient. I realize racism can be communicated with more subtlety...but that's where our need of examples comes into play.

Dear Jesus-Freak Crackaz: You already rule the world. Isn't that enough for you? Now you want respect as well? Give me a motherfucking break! Thank you.

To address this subject and what lovemachine and SOS said, I think you both are wrong. Racism and baiting posts take place on this site but on both black and white people's sides, as well as Christians. If I or anyone else complains about it, we're oversensitive and can't take a joke, in some cases. It is tolerated SOS. Everyday. If some of the shit I've seen written on this site had appeared in the little Quaidbowl episode, most of us would be furious, but some of the same fucked up shit said over there gets said here. I was offended by a thread, made a comment on that thread, was ignored obviously because at least two of the Org's moderators posted something on that same thread that I also found offensive.

Real life is too fucked up to deal with the ignorance of some on the Org.

you mentioned that two other mods witnessed this situation so let me share my own experiencing moderation:

when im checking out the site i wear two hats.. 1) an orger 2) a moderator...ill be reading a thread and participating and responding and i completely forget that i am a moderator and should be looking for things that break site rules....and other times im skimming through a thread and looking for specific peoples responces and will miss others...simple human error...

so yes, sometimes infractions slip through but the policy within this site is that racism and bigotry are not tolerated....
