In a previous thread, I posted:

The main difference between me and most of the other mods is that I'm not assigned to a specific forum, so I'm less inclined to "go on patrol" and randomly review posts, looking for rule violations. Instead, I tend to participate on the site as if I were a regular user (which is something that we mods have been asked to do). However, if in the course of participating on the site, I come across something that violates the rules, then I'll take action.

Ben and I spent several hours discussing prince.org business today. In light of the above, and because there are areas of the .org other than the forums that need attention, I proposed that I officially step down from being a "full-time" moderator and turn my focus to other parts of the site. Ben has accepted my proposal. Effective immediately, my moderation will be limited to matters that warrant immediate moderator action.

I've already posted that I'm doing a (much-needed) major revision of our FAQ's. Additionally, Ben and I talked about some exciting new stuff that he'd like to add to the site, and I've offered to assist him with this.

Our other moderators are doing a great job, and my new duties will be fit better with my soon-to-be-hectic life. I'm about to shut down my Indiana law practice, prepare for and take the Washington state bar exam, and then find a law firm here in Seattle to join. "Retiring" from daily moderation will allow me to tackle these tasks while continuing to work with the .org.

I'd like to thank:

• Ben for entrusting me with the task of moderation ever since we launched the current prince.org format;
  
• My fellow mods (past and present) for their work; and
  
• The members of the .org, who make the site what it is.
