The new machine is similar to the main org machine--a HP server with a P4 running at 2GHz, with 1.5G RAM and 80G of disk. The new database machine is connected to the webserver via a private network, and should (!!) increase the capacity of the site significantly, after it's tweaked. I'm also going to investigate some code changes I've been meaning to work on, which could potentially give another performance boost to the forums, but we'll see how things go.

The good news is, we got the new database server installed, networked to the webserver, and all seems well. I've done some light testing and the site doesn't horribly break smile
