just wondered. it was the standard system used by ian and matt when last i was a regular poster. i didn't know that after ugliness from awhile back and with the influx of new moderators that it had been discarded.

To clarify, moderators can still issue "strikes." What has changed is that the .org software no longer automatically bans users with three strikes. The ban function is now entirely independent of strikes, and moderators can choose whether to ban a user indefinitely or for a fixed amount of time.

Currently strikes do nothing more than serve as a rough indicator of how much trouble a user has caused.

As for me, I have this giant spinning wheel at home with all of the orger's names on it... (and for those like althom, who I truly detest, I have their names on it more than once... or twice even!).

I spin the wheel and whoever's name comes up... that's who I'm gonna fuck with that day... be it locked threads, edited shit, or hidden threads or even suspensions!!!

I have suggested to the other Mods that this be the venue we all take. I've not heard back from them... in fact, some notes came back "return to sender - blocked orger"...

Oh well, I still have my forums!!!
