It would be nice 2 have collections of Prince accoring to year/time instead of tour. Exp. the older pictures dont have a tour time.

I dont have a problem with it or nothing, but it would just be more easier to get what ya need.

We have the most cross-refrenced and organised Prince gallery online, and a lot of work and hours have been sacrificed over the past 3 months or so 2 get it 2 that stage 4 u guys.

About 6 or 7 weeks ago I started including 'era' pix with the tour sections - so if there is a particular photo from say, 1986 - u will more than likely find it quicker by clicking the 'Tours: Parade' tag. That is not 2 say all of them are inclusive as yet, but Im working on it.

The year by year thing is doable - and I guess I'll see what Ben has 2 say about it, although he will more than likely be in agreement that as these pix are slowly being re-worked in2 the tour areas that it may be a waste of time. I agree with your point tho - dont think I dont. But obviously, with nearing 2000 images in the gallery now, that is no small task 4 one person 2 undertake. My sister is seriously ill right now also, and I am spending increasingly little time here because the importance of such a thing outweighs organising Prince pictures by year a million fold Im afraid.

We'll see what we can do - just be patient and don't expect miracles over night.

It may not give u 'exclusives' *cough, cough* that often, but u should feel proud u have such a well organised and INFORMATIVE Prince gallery unlike any other around.

i understand your points bananacologne, but what i don't understand is why the photos weren't arranged by year from the very beginning, instead of 2000 photos now piled up in random order on 200 different pages.


yes, the tags do work, but often, if the person searching for the photo doesn't know where it's from, and only by era, it's not of much help. if you know where it originated, that works. remembering when the picture is from is much easier... for example, if i was looking for the picture from 1995 or so, from the photo shoot that was used on the I Hate U single, but i'm looking for the picture where he's looking straight at the camera with bedroom eyes and his hands pulling his shirt back, exposing his chest..... i'd have no idea how to look that up, specifically.


having the concert photos arranged by tour or era is helpful, but really, i'm rarely intersted in looking up live photos. it's the photo-shoot ones that i really only care about.


i think the gallery is great, and long overdue, but i just wanted to clarify why arranging them by year would be more helpful.

I just posted this cuz i was lookin 4 like the earlier Prince photos, i didnt know where 2 go and stuff..that's all. I c there's a "post 1980 pics" there now .
