What a way to kick off Prince week in Mpls. The DJ's were cool. It's crazy to finally hear Prince all the live long day in the main room. My fave Mpls Prince DJ Poptop played a fun set (though much too short) and the First Ave dancers were, well, weird. Before tonight I had no idea there were First Avenue dancers. My only complaint is that they played 17 Days and Soft and Wet way too early in the night. I wasn't ready to get my groove on yet. Those are both definitely after midnight songs. What were they thinkin?
My favorite part of the evening was meeting other Prince fans and orgers. NCC2012 & MinneG, it was great to meet you guys!! Unique, nice to see you again! Dansa, always a pleasure and you looked damn cute tonight, girl! And of course always fun to dance with my lovely group of friends on my Bday! I danced way past the time I was planning to leave, and isn't that always the sign of a fabulous party?

I'm off to bed as I have a looooong day ahead of me tomorrow. What with the Paisley day stuff, the Xcel and the aftershow a girl needs her sleep!

I second Carrie's post! Although I didn't do any dancing tonight (believe me, you're not missing much...I probably dance as well as this emoticon--> ), it was great to meet you all. I'm never going to remember everyone's names, so I won't even attempt to go there tonight. I know I didn't get to at least a couple of people before I left (sorry Dansa!), but I did have to take off for my hour long drive home. Yes, I did find my car again. I was in such a rush to get over to 1st Ave after getting in downtown that I didn't bother to take note of my surroundings well enough to remember exactly where the parking ramp was that my car was in. It eventually came back to me. Then I had to go to at least three gas stations before I found one that had an air pump that worked or didn't require me to pay...one of my tires is having problems. Grrr. But, anyway, I'm alive and well at home and psyched for Friday. I hope I meet a bunch of you then, too.

And now, I'm off to bed.

it was nice to see everyone again--although i couldn't dance cuz my shoes were fuckin killin my feet (they still kinna hurt ), i had an awesome time! and they played "sexy dancer" without me having to request it! and there was this japanese fan who was dressed up like p in the "iwd4u" live video-thingie--the outfit was dead-on, 'cept for one thing: the boots. they weren't high heeled boots, man! it threw the whole ensemble off! i still took a pic of 'im cuz he looked awesome.

the first ave. dancers...ehhhhh...i still can't believe they performed to "scarlet pussy" twice in one night.

I couldn't stay long, the girl I was with was a hurb and had to go to bed for work in the morning. tomorrow I'll look for you all. I just walked in there like a tourist (I'm in from NC, but my friend lives out here). It was quite cool to see 1st ave finally. It was one of those events where I wish I had some more friends who shared my love....or rented a car....duh.

I'm a bit late with posting, but it was great to see everyone again! I finally met CarrieMpls and that number guy with the Dr. Fink scrubs on, NC-17 or something like that.....

I left sort of early as well, but it was still fun and I'm surprised that so many people showed up.

But of course, I embarrassed myself again while trying to re-pay Darin with drinks. Typical.

At least I didn't almost set some woman's pants on fire like he did though.

Oh, and I hope everyone knows that the pics have to go through me first so I can Photoshop myself out of all of them.
