Pre Purple Reign Party Meet Up 28th May 2004

If you haven't heard the whisper…..

There's a very special extra Meet Up organised in conjunction with The Dawn Experience and The London Prince Peeps Meet Up….. biggrin

The Pre Purple Reign Party Meet Up...

The evening before The Purple Reign Party everyone is invited to come and join us for an informal drink and get together in the heart of London's West End…

The venue: The Glasshouse Stores
55 Brewer Street
Piccadilly/Soho
London
W1

The time: 6pm (opening time) onwards
Date: Friday 28th May 2004

Nearest tube: Piccadilly Circus

Traditional pub, with good beer and bar snacks, so no need to dress up - fine to roll up after work, train into town, after checking in at your hotel etc etc ;O)

We'll be in the downstairs bar and will have some signs on our tables to help you find us - come say "Hi!"

More Purple Reign Party details can be accessed at: http://www.TheDawnExperience.co.uk

Let's get this party going…….. biggrin

hi unique.

it's probably best to get the tube from King's cross to piccadilly circus (on the Piccadilly line) and it's a couple minutes walk max from there. All in all will take, maybe, 20 minutes from kings cross. Again, from the venue on the Saturday night you're looking at the tube again. It is walkable but a fair distance and unless you know the way you're going, probably not worth it.

Anyway, i'll be there for a few beers. smile

so sounds like a taxi from kings cross 2 the friday nite meetup will cost a fair bit more than £20 if its 20 mins by tube? might have 2 take the tube then. i just get lost in the underground so wanted 2 make it easier by cab

c u there!

Nah, i think it'll probably cost around £10 by cab and take about the same time as the tube. But the underground is dead easy - just get the south bound piccadilly line from KC to Piccadilly circus. It's straight, no changing. Easy as pie. smile

if its only £10 then i'll get a cab, i just need a hotel thats cheap and nearby the meetup place (and half decent) any suggestions? theres a list of hotels on the dawn site, but i dunno if any of them r near the friday nite venue. somewhere half between kings x and the meetup place would b handy, particularly if there is a place halfway between kings x and the friday nite meetup, and in the right direction (or closer 2) the party venue

any suggestions? or at least some area codes i can lookup in yell 4 hotels? i had a look at mapquest, but its 2 hard 4 me 2 tell

if u don't have advance tix, please turn up early on the nite 2 make sure u get in. ticket holders r guarranteed 2 get in anytime, but u dont want 2 miss the early fun, in the past the parties have kicked off and started jumping from early doors, so u don't need 2 turn up fashionably late.

also if u arrive early u can get 2 know a few ppl (every1 is usually very friendly and more than happy 2 make new acquaintances), browse the madhouse music stall of cool and rare merchandise and check out everything whilst the drink kicks in and leads u 2 the dancefloor 4 all nite bootyshaking action

AAAh, tell me about this now, when I've already booked my train ticket for Saturday!

£10 quid there, but remember, £10 quid back, as opposed to a £5 for a travelcard there AND back. Look, it's easy, you go to Kings Cross, go down into the tube, buy a travelcard, follow the signs for the dark BLUE Picadilly line - go down the escalators, go to the southband platforms, get on a train, about 4 or 5 stops straight to Picadilly, get off the train, go up the escalators, you come out in front of the statue of Eros and all those big digital displays. It's easy! On the way back just follow signs for Northbound Picadilly line.

When you're at Picadilly Circus, follow the street that veers off in front of the big digital adverts and to the side of Tower Records, the pub is bit further up on a corner.

Jeez, I wish I could be there, I really feel like a pint!

i think an xtra £15 is worth it 2 save the hassle of finding my way around. on the way back from the meetup i'll no doubt b pissed as a fart and incapable of finding my way around, yet i can hand the hotel card 2 the taxi driver and command him 2 take me home. plus i won't b alone on the journey back, so thats a bit cheaper. i'll have all my gear with me on the way there, so it's a right hassle negotiating the tube with my stuff

i still need 2 find a hotel tho, somewhere cheap and hopefully near the friday meetup[quote]

Hi! Glad you got the hotel sorted - sounds ideal! biggrin

Don't blame you for not getting the tube actually - I rarely use them either, much prefer to stay overground! Just they are convenient - usually....

See U 2 morrow biggrin

Are you still planning to turn up quite early?
