hi folks

im just back from mpls, and just recovered from the party and mini celly and party at 1st avenue, and the invitable basketball game with prince and the band (yes, he made pancakes afterwards). i've been keeping an eye on the comments over the past few weeks and surprised the thread is still buzzing

im glad every1 enjoyed themselves at the party, and glad i upset the haters who didn't go. this party was even better than the last parties, but there is still room 4 a lil improvement.

most complaints were that i didnt play a particular track, but with 6 hours there just isnt enuff time 2 play half the songs requested as prince has far 2 big a catalogue. that is y we had a poll so ppl could vote 4 thier favorite trax, and all 20 voted trax were played, along with as many as possible of the other voted songs. it wouldve taken about 12 hours just 2 play each of the songs requested in advance, and then another 2 hours 2 play the requests on the nite

this next party's musical theme is old school, so thats whats going 2 b played all nite. again we will setup a method so ppl can request songs in advance again and i can ensure the most popular old skool jams r played, so it would b nice if every1 can vote and let me concentrate on the music on the nite as it's hard 2 get on with things when i'm constantly bombarded with requests

also, the last party had so much going on in the different rooms that it took some time 2 get the main room busy, and some ppl missed out on some of the tunes that were played. tracks such as cream, musicology and dear mr man were all played, but it looks like some of the ppl posting here missed them, and they werent even played in the 1st hour. as we only have 6 hours 2 fit in tunes i suggest every1 turns up early so the party can kick off quickly and u can make the most of the dancing. there is going 2 b some very cool music and videos being played again, a completely different selection of both music and videos in each of the rooms, so this is like part 2 of the party, a continuation rather than a repeat. when there is so much music 2 choose from, y repeat anything played the first time?

oh, and funkylust, if u werent so drunk u wouldve realised it was a different t shirt, the 1st time i'd worn it actually, theres 2 styles of 1st ave t shirt. i'll have a nice new selection of t shirts 2 show off at the next party and coming tour, trips 2 the mall of america r perfect 4 wardrobe supplies

so if u had a good time in may, come along in september, but if u didn't come 2 party, don't bother knocking on the door!
