part 1 is musicology nite, celebrating the release of the cd, the world tour, and prince music in general from the early days right up 2 the new cd, showing rare videos and playing music from all the years

part 2 is purple rain nite, celebrating the 20th anniversary of purple rain, the rerelease of the movie on dvd, and all the prince and related music from around that era, and rare videos from the around the purple rain period. also we have a live prince tribute band playing


the idea is that both parties will b different with both the music and videos being shown (different stuff at each party), plus the vibe and atmosphere, the 2nd party will b like the clock has been turned back 2 1984, plus a band, so both parties will b very special in thier own right

also, as the parties have been scheduled earlier in the year, and at bank holidays, we should have some better weather than we had in november, so u can make a weekend out of it in london

Im 23 but I will be going with people a few years my senior. Everyone gets on with everyone and there is a real mix of ages.

I'm 20 and my boyfriend is 19... looks like we'll be the babies!



I'm expecting an older crowd (well, older than myself at least) but I very well might be wrong.

probably 20-35 is the average age, but there r a few ppl younger, and a few ppl slightly older, prince did have his 1st uk hits 20 years ago now so his fanbase now r generally in thier 30s, but luckily still plenty of new fans r finding his music

the crowd is very similar 2 that of any popular club or bar u would xpect at the weekend, a fairly cool and trendy lot, every1 having something in common, every1 up 4 a good time, and no1 scared 2 get freaky on the dancefloor, tho 4tunately no1 has made a complete fool of themselves (yet)

there will b a LOT of ppl at the party so a big mix of all ages. ppl r very friendly and most ppl r looking 2 get introduced 2 new friends, and that prettymuch grows thru the nite, so u can turn up and not know any1, and by the nite know almost every1, thats really how friendly ppl r

lots of ppl have said 2 me that they r put off going as they don't have any1 2 go with, but there will b a few ppl in the same boat coming, so we will c if we can make arrangements 2 make some introductions. if u speak 2 any of the organisers of the event whilst u r there and ask 2 b introduced 2 some ppl, i'm sure we can get the ball rolling. certainly if u turn up early, it will make it easier 4 us 2 make introductions, so by the time the place is busy u will know lots of ppl. and if u dont want 2 talk 2 any1, then u can just spend the whole nite on the dancefloor andd let the music take u away

only 3 weeks 2 go now!!!!
