MiRoc announces season.... The 2003-04 season opens with pink floyd's The wall at the schauer Arts & Activities center in Hartford, WI. November 29th at 2:00 & 7:00pm. Followed by shows at the Scottish Rite in Milwaukee,WI. Jan 22nd through Feb.1st
The Wall is co-produced by Melanie Beres, Scott Peterson & Christopher Goralski. The show stars Gary Cherone, Previous lead singer of Van Halen, as Pink's husband. Gary fronts the new band "Tribe of Judah" and has been a regular ensemble member of the Boston Rock opera. (www.rockopera.com) **also performing in the Wall is Julian Stefon of "Julian's Ride" He is playing the part of Pink's father.(www.julbox.best.cd) MiRoc will host the 20th Anniversary party for the celebration of Prince's Purple Rain. The Purple Rain production and Fest will run May 6th-9th at the Scottish Rite in Milwaukee, WI. The show will be hosted by Chris Tucker and Julian Stefon stars as Prince. Fall of 2004, MiRoc will produce Jesus Christ Superstar which will star women in all roles. The production will be used as avehicle to draw awareness to the feminist movement as well as female businesses, art and music professionals. MiRoc has teamed with various artists/studios to produce conventions/fests/themed after parties for each production to create an overall package and draw awareness to social causes in addition to local businesses.(all will be held at the Scottish Rite) The convention/fests will include Q/A sessions with experts pertaining to the rock opera being produced, Talk back sessions with ensemble after show, pre-show buffet, artists, vendors as well as an after party. Price with Buffet and fest/convention is 40$ show ONLY-20$. Group sales, senior and student discounts are available by appointment. look to www.miroc.org for convention times, participants and more details. *** We also have 3 45 minute showcases of the wall coming up in the WI. Area. Fri- sept19th at the Annex in madison- sat sept20th Kryptonite-rockford, Ill. and sun. sept21st at the Rockshop in milwaukee. All are at 11:00pm. | |

I had thought THE PR ROCK OPERA was held in chicago in MAY, but U say its MILWAUKEE & U should know! Very cool 4 Julian 2 B getting all these parts!!!I hope 4 y'all, lots of ppl will attend these very talented events that I'm sure involve lots of "hard" work on ur part and julians, as well as the others putting this 2gether. FYI- Julian does an incredible job on the Floyd tunes!!! I think he blew the director away!!!- Let cindy know about the floyd shows for me- K? (I'll get the other nfo for you after this crazy weeknd!) | |
