Dearest Motor Babies,

U and your families are cordially invited to The Detroit Crawl's third annual SPLASH 1 + 1 + 1 = 3 waterpark barbeque picnic party from noon - 9pm (dusk) this Sunday, July 27, at Rolling Hills County Park in Ypsilanti, Michigan.

Sunday looks to be a great day -- highs in the low 80s with sunshine -- good for playing in.

Rolling Hills is located at 7660 Stony Creek Road, which is about 3 miles south of I-94. The county park is located between Ypsilanti and Belleville, east of Ann Arbor.

As like in previous years, there is a separate fee for your vehicle to gain access into the Washtenaw County park as well as a separte price to gain access to the water park. Daily vehicle admission for Washtenaw County residents is $4.00, and $8.00 for non-county residents.

The water park is open from 11 am - 8 pm (dusk) weekends. Children 36 inches or smaller are FREE into the water park. County residents can get into the water park for $7.00, while non-residents are charged $9.00. The locker rental price has been reduced since last year -- 25-cents.

Plan if you were going on a picnic with the family. Bring food for your family and a dish to share with the group. There are barbecue pits to use, but no charcoal. Check out the Rolling Hills web site for more.

We hope the picnic will take place at last year's location -- about 400 yards from the water park in the shade near the line of trees. We look forward to playing in the sunshine.

When you enter the park, ask for where the Prince picnic will be and the gate attendents will tell you where the party is.

Applekisses, myself, MindyC and Mauve, want to express our sincerest thank yous for all of you motor babies coming out Sunday to party with us bar-b-q picnic style again. We had some great weather, despite the gathering storm clouds and wind, we were only hit with a few sprinkles in the late afternoon. Perfect b-b-q weather.

Nice to hear the NPGMC Ahdio shows again.

Did you all know that Sunday, July 27, was the 19th anniversary of the Purple Rain premiere? At least we had some ol skool funk flowing. It all kind of works out.

It was so nice to see all the familiar faces again, and some new ones, and some old ones. RICCO The Artist, glad you made the effort to come home to your city and party with us once again. It has been a while, and the time that we shared is always important to us because we miss you and you are an important part of our family.

The Detroit Crawl looks forward to repaying you and your group up in MPLS with a Motor Baby Crawl to Funkytown in the early-mid Fall. Ricco, how did you do it? You left us midway through the picnic and drove out to Chitown to party with the...The Berlin. Why don't we call this the Ricco The Artist Midwest Swing? Hope you got back to MPLS in one piece.

Teejster, so nice to come out from the shadows. The Crawl was ready because we have not seen you in so long, as well as RedSheDevil. We both missed you like crazy,and glad to see Jamie is back on her feet. Teej, if you do not come to the August HOT WIT U Housequake, we are going to track you down.

Revolution, where were you? As well as Walk and HolyWine? We had a blast without you but wished you were there.

The Crawl looks forward to Splash IV (Four) next summer. It might not be at Rolling Hills Water Park ($$$), but we have something a little better in mind just around the corner.
