PRE-PARTY Event: meet up at 6:00 PM at Pizzeria Paradiso - located just
across the street from Modern at 3282 M St. NW, Wash DC

Bonus Tip: Ask the bartenders about special drinks/shots with a Prince
theme. ie...Pink Cashmere, Purple Rain, Raspberry Beret, etc.

Party attire = Dress to Impress*

*Attendees will likely be photographed and added to our online gallery. We have also invited the press so make sure you don't have any outstanding warrants

Hopefully next week will order that Rick James/Prince mix CD.

Sounds very cool & different. Never thought of doing something like that in a mix.

I want "officially" give you both props & thanks for getting LovesexyDC into Modern. It's a VERY nice spot in a good location (despite whatever parking problems some may have), a place definitely worthy of the monthly LovesexyDC parties.


I had a great time last night, like I usually do at these events. The idea of a "versus" theme is cool, it adds some variety to the proceedings..
last night's version, featuring Prince vs. "slick" Rick James was cool-
in particular, hearing Square Biz was great; it's 1 of my favorite funk jams of all time..
I never expected to hear it at a LvsxyDC event, but of course it fit in perfectly with last night's "versus theme"!


I was due to be out of town around the same time of next month's gig, but now I'm going to rearrange my schedule to make sure I'll be in town for the August 10 event..

I know I'm not the only 1 who thinks this..

I genuinely appreciate your efforts in establishing & maintaining these LvsxyDC events. You have worked to provide a nice, laid-back yet FUNKY atmosphere, a chance for current (& "former") fans to get together, hang out, talk about the music & whatever else..
& of course, to DANCE.

DJ Dredd brings the FUNK every month, & he brings it WELL. Kathy is always the gracious hostess.

I know that when I come to 1 of these gigs, it's the 1 time I know I can totally "let myself go" on the dance floor. Nearly every time I come, I meet some cool people, & last night was certainly no exception!

& I will keep coming & telling others about the LvsxyDC parties
