Paisley Park Tours!!!!

Those of you that had been......

What were some of the turn offs for you during this tour?

Security? Parking?

Also on the flip side... What would be some things you would want to see added or done differently!

Thanks for the chat!!!

!!! ???
Anyway. Dropping the drama

We had two tours in June 2019. One included with PPAD would normally be $45. The other, the $160 Ultimate.

The Ultimate is the only way to go. You see the entire main floor and now, you also get the special shoe display (included in all tours).
Wear comfy shoes. You will be on your feet for three hours.
If recommend they drop the tacky jewelry display with two young men showing pieces of his collection and maybe they have.

The only "problem" is that our ticket was supposed to include a meal at the end. They had just stopped that without warning. We were starved. LOL. I browbeat them when we got home and they sent me two beautiful P&M tote bags to assuage my disappointment. Very fair.

Thank you!

I wasnt trying to start drama.. I have jsut read 600+ reviews and they all have similar issues with the tour..

Was mostly trying to fish for info about others experiences..

I have been ther twice and the front guard and security ruined it for me with being overly pushy and thinking they are the end all.

I was there the day it openned. No one could park at PP. You had to take a shuttle that picked up everyone at a strip mall about a mile away.*

For those of you who've been there more recently, is that still the case? Do you still have to take a shuttle? Or can you now park at the facility?

*(As I understood it, it wasn't the people running PP who were opposed to visitors parking onsite. It was the city council. As you guys may recall, at the last minute the city council was threatening not to give PP a permit to conduct commerical tours. Among their concerns was the traffic in the area. The idea of shipping people in on a shuttle bus was to address that concern. At least that's what I was told.)

The initial parking issues were due to the inability to turn left off Audubon into the front lot. Audubon is a divided road next to busy Hwy 5.
They built a connector so you now turn left into the back entrance and use the connector to park in the front lot.

As for the staff/guards, we treated them with respect and they returned the same to us. No one is entitled to go there.

I went there about three years ago and there was no issue with parking on site. There was plenty of parking available but the lot did fill up as the day turned into evening. I took two tours-the extended (ultimate) tour that included recording studios and all of the different themed rooms and the regular tour. I wouldn't go there for the very first time without doing the ultimate touring experience because you get to see so much more than the 'regular' tour. As for the guards/security- when we first arrived and went inside to the lobby area and were giving our cell phones to the people at the counter I lost control of my emotions (it was overwhelming to me to be there were Prince lived, created the music that was the soundtrack to my life and passed away) and had tears rolling down my cheeks. The security man at the front door rushed over to me with a box of Kleenex and was nothing but gracious to me. If respect is shown to you then you must show it back. I had a wonderful time there and want to go back again.
