Your experiences at Paisley Park in the past few years

I am planning on going to Paisley Park some time next year. Most likely in June
I wanted to know if any of you would care to share your experiences at Paisley Park? I have seen the inside on film but to see it in person will be amazing
Also,is it opened all year now? Is there a lot of great merchandise their to purchase? I plan on saving up really good so I plan on going all out.
I have never been to paisley or Minneapolis but it's been a life time goal

What do you mean by share an experience?
Do you want somebody to go with you?
Are you saying you've been thinking about the trip since June and now you want to go on it?

Believe it or not it sounds like you just want to send someone there to film it.

He's asking for someone to describe what it's like, as evidenced by his questions about whether there's lots of merchandise for sale.

I was at Paisley Park the day it opened to the public. A lot has changed since then (different managment, more rooms open, more merchandise I presume...).

When I went visitors were allowed to sit at the piano and play it while their photo was taken, but after the place was open a few weeks someone (or someones) did something to abuse that privledge, so now I believe they have you stand in front of the piano to have your photo taken.

One of my complaints was that the tour guides knew very little about Prince. They read from scripts and they couldn't answer most questions. Thankfully, being opening day, most of the visitors were hardcore fans and they were able to answer the questions the tour guides couldn't. But again, I expect (hope?) that has changed.

Also, when I was there his urn was on display in the atrium, but I believe that's no longer the case.

If you could plan it around when there is an event going on on the soundstage, you will get the best experience in my opinion. Then you can do a tour during the day also. The tours are fun but the most fun I ever have at Paisley is dancing around and listening to music at night - it’s the best :)

Other advice would be to hit up the other prince spots in Minneapolis while you are here including live music if it’s possible by June.

Oh also, yes there is good merchandise there but much of it can also be found at the prince store at Minneapolis Saint Paul airport so you must stop there too!
