Prince's home tours

Hi yall,

Its been a minute since a I posted question. Please be kind. Does anyone know if the Prince tours of house are going good? What's happening to them? I am asking because I want to go but really haven't heard of anything of late. Also, I am a bit hestitant to go and wondering if I should leave it as Prince wanted it to be a mystique. His whole image was mysterious and never wanted anyone to see what was happening behind the curtain. But at the same time he was preparing to get PP reading for a museum one day and was creating rooms for the public to see. Are they serving is favorite foods still?

Thanks

I went last November. I did the Ultimate experience tour. It was a little pricey ($160) but I was flying in from LA with a friend so we figured we're flying that far we might as well get the highest one they have. We also heard rumors that they were going to shut down PP by the end of the year. In our gut we didnt think so but we didnt wanna take the chance.

In my experience, the tourguide really makes or breaks the PP visit. Read beforehand about people complaining about their guides (werent knowledgeable etc). We didnt have that experience. Our guide Tomi was a big fan and was so incredible. He pointed himself out in a few of the vids that were playing throughout PP when he had hair lol. He was really kind and patient and answered questions. He could not stop raving about my list shirt I made of Prince's aliases (Camille&Joey Coco&Jamie Starr&John Lewis&Tora Tora&Christopher&Alexander Nevermind).

few notes:

- P's ashes were up high in the atrium when we went and we had a moment of silence. Now it's not there anymore I hear (cause people broke down a lot).

- For our level of tour they served his favorite smoothies in the Soundstage as we chilled in his VIP section and held one of his bass guitars and then the end of the tour they served lunch (pesto veggie sandwich, chips, cookies as we sat on tables in the NPG room)

- Some things could have been done without/added...but all in all as a far as soon to be museum goes...it did its job...but like i said...having the right tour guide who was also a fan because you kind of mourn together and enjoy it together instead of having a "suit"

Since we were from LA we also traced his childhood, early performance venues, not-lake minnetonka, first ave just to make the most of our time there.

"You know, this is funky but I wish he'd play like he used to, old scragglyhead son of a...*smack* OOH!"

"Who's the foo singing will it's would"
