Alas, the team behind Chelles' Kitchen have decided to play it a little straighter, as they prepare for the four-course, Prince-themed event at The Bird in Loring Park on June 7.

The #PrinceBornDayPopUp is being held on what would have been the Purple One's 61st birthday, and the menu has been designed with Prince in mind.

It's the brainchild of Lachelle Cunningham, formerly of Breaking Bread who has attracted acclaim for her work in the African-American food scene.

Now running her own catering business, she's created a four-course menu that's vegan (obviously – though a meat option is available), and contains several homages to Prince Rogers Nelson.
