Hey Org-ers, over the last couple of years I've been doing an occasional thing called Purple Stardust, which is a Bowie vs Prince party. It's been a lot of fun, though obviously not to everyone here's taste (if they don't like Bowie). I'd more or less packed it away, but then I was asked to do another one in Hebden Bridge in Yorkshire on Sat 14 July, so what the hell, I said yes. PURPLE STARDUST is Bowie vs Prince party from writer and DJ Simon Price: a celebration of the man who defined the 70s and the man who defined the 80s, in the form of back-to-back bangers from both artists, and video mash-ups. It all began in the summer of 2016 - the year when those two legends passed away - with a massive party at the Into The Great Wide Open festival off the coast of the Netherlands, with the Bowie/Prince playlist sending 700 Dutch revellers absolutely crazy. Since then it's been a tent-headlining hit at Kendal Calling and Festival No.6, and Price has also staged successful Bowie and Prince-themed nights in Brighton, London and Manchester.
