Minneapolis Residents please help/advice.

Hi Everyone,

My name is Simon and in a few short weeks my wife and I will be travelling from Australia to come and stay in Minneapolis from Nov 2 - 5. I have one day spare where I'd really like to see the main parts of Minneapolis/St pauls area. We are already doing plenty of prince things in the first couple of days but on Saturday Nov 4 we really want to see some of the Minneapolis/St Paul area to just get a taste of this wonderful city. We have looked into many city tours and sadly it seems because it's the first week of November all the tours seem to have shut down. The only thing we can find is expensive private limo tours. Would anyone who lives in Minneapolis be able to reach out and let me know of a good way to have a look around Minneapolis/St Paul area preferably via car/bus for a few hours. If they know of any tours that run in November at all? We really wanted to do the Grayline award winning city tour but they shut down the last week of November. But something similar to that would be amazing and what we are looking for.At this stage I'd be almost prepared to pay anyone a fee to just show us around for a few hours. The private limo companies want 250-300 dollars which for a couple of hours we just werent prepared to pay. So any suggestions/help/advice on this situation would be greatly apreciated. I hope to hear from you asap. Thanks so much.

All I know is that on the 4th day of November, you need a purple high. shrug
We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

I'm in MN. This is sort of a tough question as that time of year is sort of meh here, and one day is not much time to work with. But here are a few suggestions:
Don't take the bus. Rent a car for more freedom. Car rentals are inexpensive and the Twin Cities aren't too difficult to navigate.
The Mississippi River and the city lakes are a huge part of the cities identity, but its going to be hard to enjoy the natural beauty of the area at the time of your visit. That being said try to check out the Stone Arch bridge, Gold Medal Park, and the 35W bridge memorial. The memorial won't mean much to foreigners, but its a beautiful area to view the river. And Izzy's ice cream shoppe is a popular spot in the area.
The Foshay Tower is a lovely, historical bldg with great views from the observation deck.
If nothing else you could spend an entire day exploring the downtown Mpls area via the skyway system of more than seven miles of glass-enclosed walkways. In addition to keeping you warm, they are lined with specialty shops, restaurants and misc services. In this case you could forego the car rental and just take public transportation or uber to downtown from wherever you are staying.
Sorry, i haven't spent much time in St Paul so i don't have anything to offer advice-wise. But i hope this helps? Enjoy your visit!
It's a hurtful place, the world, in and of itself. We don't need to add to it. We all need one another. ~ PRN

I don't think you needs a tour. This provides the exact addresses of important locations.
