Any Prince Party planned in SoCal for his birthday 2017?

LA or San Diego? Wish I could find some purple people to hang with here in California

DESCRIPTION

Wednesday June 7th Musichead Gallery in Hollywood will be hosting an artist receiption with Robert Whitman in honor of PRINCE's birthday.

A portion of the evenings proceeds with be donated to Angel's At Risk.

Cocktails, Wine and Hors d'oeuvres will be served.

DJ will be spinning vinyl all night.

In 1977, a local musician named PRINCE ROGERS NELSON came to the attention of Minneapolis music producer Owen Husney and his partner Gary Levinson. Upon hearing his music, Husney immediately signed the 19 year old to a management contract and set secure a record deal for the young musician.

Morris Day is coming for the June B-day bash, but that's not a Prince event from what I see.



I'm a little disappointed.

The Revolution was Prince’ band on “Purple Rain” and his following two studio albums, “Around The World In A Day” and “Parade”. Bobby Z was one of the original members of The Revolution and Jagger & Kristi had a chance to chat with him.

To celebrate Prince’s life on what would have been his 59th birthday. Bobby had some intimate stories and emotional words on his good friend Prince. The Revolution came together after Prince passed last April to do three sold-out shows at First Avenue in Minneapolis. The band decided to reunite to tour in honor of their beloved friend and will be in San Diego at the House of Blues on June 22nd.

I got tickets to that. Will you be there? I would love to meet another Prince person to hang with in San Diego. So far I am reduced to begging my family and friends to humor me and attend these concerts and events. It would be nice to meet some people here in San Diego who really love and understand his music 💜
