Hello everyone!

I just wanted to let everyone know about the Prince sightseeing tours available in Minneapolis. I took this tour in October and it's great! It is very hard to try and navigate all of the Prince landmarks on your own since some are difficult to find- so I recommend this tour. I'm going to take it again on April 22 when I'm in town for the Celebration 2017 at Paisley Park.

He has a calendar with the dates, but is having special times during Celebration 2017 - From Friday, April 21 through Sunday, April 23, there will be two daily tours at 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. CST.

Stops include:

• Capri Theatre, where Prince performed for the first time in 1979 (outside stop)
• First Avenue night club that was featured in the Purple Rain movie (outside stop)
• Electric Fetus, Prince’s favorite record store (20 minutes to browse and shop inside)
• The “Purple Rain” house (outside stop)
• The new large Prince wall mural in Chanhassen created by Mr G (Graham) Hoete of Sydney, Australia, two months after Prince passed away.
• The Chanhassen Cinema where Prince privately reserved the theater for movie nights with friends.
• Paisley Park, Prince’s home and studio in nearby Chanhassen (outside stop – does not include inside tour of Paisley Park)
• Schmitt Music Mural where the iconic Prince photo was taken in 1977

The guy who runs it isn't in it for the money. He runs general Minneapolis wine tours and after Prince died, people were asking him to do Prince tours so he added a few. He's adding a few each day in April during the Celebration 2017 so that all of the visitors can see all of the sights. He's great and really loves Prince.

The tickets cost $89 per person, but Randy (the owner) isn't make much money off of the tours. I would never recommedn the tour if I thought he was trying to capitalize on Prince's death. He truly just loves Prince and what he's done for the city and wants visitors to have a nice experience. When I was there in October, all of his tours were full. I was disappointed that I couldn't take one, so he actually came and picked me and my daughter up at the hotel in his car that night and did a private tour for us at no extra charge. He is truly a good soul.

Thank you for the recommendation. I booked a tour for March! I was informed that if the tour was canceled that I can do a private tour at $66 per hour for a minimum of 3 hours. I am willing to pay because I do not know the area and I want to see all these places!!

Thanks again for this recommendation. I went on the tour this past Sunday and had an absolute blast. Randy (the guy who runs the tour) was hilarious. It was only 5 of us on the tour and we were all giddy like teenagers. He said that our energy was infectious and enjoyed sharing so much with us. I have no complaints at all. The only thing that I wish he could have added was a drive by of the Dakota Jazz Club where Prince would sometimes frequent. If you are going to visit Paisley Park, I highly advise that you take this tour!!!

Hi! Did a book a tour for this week? See ya at Paisley Park! What track are you on? I'm on Track 2.

For anyone that has been on this, does it run in the order listed of the tour details, i.e., that the drive to Paisley Park is the last part of the tour?


The reason I ask, is I would like to book it at a 2pm slot, but I have to be at PP at 5pm. Therefore, I could book this tour but get off the bus at PP around 4pm and just miss the drive back to downtown?
