This is my first post ever--even though I've been on here for years! So sad it's in rememberance of Prince a year after we lost him. His music and genius are irrevocably embedded in my life and consciousness. Last year when I went to Prince tribute parties in London and Chicago at the House of Blues for his Birthday, it was so painful, this year it's still painful, but it's beautiful to be part of keeping Prince's legacy alive! The Ritzy party in Brixton, London last night was an amazing celebration of his music, with live singers paying respect to his genius. The DJ played a great set, including Raspberry Beret 12" with Prince's cough and She's Always in My Hair--two of my favs. Going to the first anniversary party at the Bussey Building in Peckham, London tonight. Wanted to make it to Celebration 2017 Paisley Park--everyone who is there, we are all with you in spirit!
