The Prince4Ever Paisley Park tour experience will be available exclusively throughout the month of April to fans on both the General Admission and VIP tours. Tickets for scheduled tours in April are available now via the Paisley Park website at OfficialPaisleyPark.com. Beyond this expanded tour experience, Paisley Park has announced that it will erect a special Prince4Ever tribute fence within the interior grounds of the property which will be set-up throughout the month of April. The fence will be located along the grass adjacent to the north parking lot at Paisley Park and will display archived fan-donated memorial messages and artifacts originally attached to the exterior perimeter fence in the weeks following Prince’s passing last year. I'm not sure what is more disappointing. Those who occupy the Big White Mansion or those who will occupy the White House in a couple of days. This nation will persevere, but I truly fear for the legacy of our sacred Paisley Park. Dear Mr. Man, give us back our Paisley Park. You have lost the privilege to run it. "Offered a chance" means pay. I'm still getting over $1000 for VIP and $500 for general admission, which are more than any celebration he had while he was alive. It isn't about the money for me, but this whole thing just rubs me the wrong way. Many will say then don't participate if I feel that way and I won't. But, how many other lifelong fans will they lose because they are taking advantage of us? The supply and demand approach is not going to work for the long term. They better be building a relationship with us and future fans or the new Paisley Park will fail over the long term. [Edited 1/17/17 10:25am]

We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

[Edited 1/17/17 10:25am] I see photos on Instagram all the time of happy fans who just toured Paisley Park and are having their picture taken next to one of the large Prince photos on display in the tent. Nobody is being taken advantage of because no one is forced to do anything. Also none of us know the true financial situation. Also playing devils advocate, if this is just about $$$ then they wouldn't be very smart taking advantage of people because eventually people would say no thanks and the money would dry up. I don't agree with you at all. Paisley Park must run as a business, or it will not run at all. Prince isn't around to play a lucrative private gig anymore when funds are low. The price Prince charged for the Celebrations was incredibly low.
I may not support every move they make, but they are trying, and improving. The other option is for PP to be sold off. And that would be devastating.

I agree and I don't support everything they do but they are trying with P's legacy. I am also glad that they removed that urn at the front entrance from what it was read on here. And yeah they have to find ways I mean creative ways to make money since touring is the money at for musicians.
I hope the Revolution play gigs over the summer outside of Paisley Park too.
They also should consider to add some type of music schooling at PP for K-12 kids to help keep it going and add music classes for adults as I feel they should do more than just relied on some museum. I am business-minded person and this estate has the potential to worth a billion if done correctly.

Of course they won't get everything right and mistakes will be made but to assume everything they're doing is to enrich someone is just wrong imo. I saw the video of the guy from Graceland on the day PP officially opened to the public. He looked awful and said he hadn't slept in 36 hours. I doubt he needed the gig. I'm sure he's plenty busy with Graceland. And honestly if this was just about money wouldn't the siblings just sell it off, pay the tax bill and be done with it? Paisley Park is in your heart

. Exactly. What people forget is that since there were no trusts/will, the estate has huge bills and Paisley is an expensive operation to maintain. Prince had deferred maintenance that had to be taken care of before the museum opened (expensive roof repairs, brand-new heating/cooling systems) as well as standards for ADA and commercial operation that Prince didn't have to comply with when he was alive. The employees have to be paid, Graceland gets management fees, etc. No one is a volunteer there -- and why should they? People wonder why Prince asked for "donations" for PPAD; that's because he didn't have a commercial license and legally could not charge. Now that it's necessarily a commercial business, people have to pay what Prince no longer subsidizes.
The worst thing would be to see PP disappear. I think everyone's trying to do their best, keep changing things up to bring people back, and keep it as the welcoming place it always was.
Welcome to "the org", laytonian… come bathe with me.

At what point couldn't P legally charge for entrance to PP? Was it only donations back in the 90s? The Celebrations were certainly ticketed.

Lord knows I do not have a lot of money but I feel there is nothing wrong with charging people the current prices for admittance into Paisley Park and for the special events. There are costs and bills to pay to keep PP running and accessible to Prince fans. Remember Prince had plans pre-arranged for PP to be open the way it is. The people now in charge of PP have to charge to keep the vision alive and also come up with promotional campaigns and enticements to keep attendance up which translates into PP remaining accessible to the fans. I personally see nothing wrong with this. I am envious of anyone that has or is able to make it out there. I hope to one day be in that blessed group of people. +++ Thanks rogifan for this info! I think the prices do seem high at first glance, but if you break it down they really aren't. Go see one of the bands playing and you would pay around $50. Going on the tour of Paisley Park alone is $40. This is a special event and there will be things happening that don't happen on the normal tour. Admittance is limited, so of course they are going to tag on some extra $$$. So for 4 days, there you go, $500. [Edited 1/17/17 20:55pm] TRUE BLUE

i think it has great potential as an intimate concert venue for bands that could easily sell out that size venue. Prince has influenced so many popular bands, seems like they would be thrilled to play there. And maybe a shuttle from downtown could be an option for an additional fee thats less than uber? The Alabama Shakes concert there was awesome, even without Prince's taking the stage that night. flowing through the veins of the tree of life...purplemaplesyrup

ahhh, i meant to say, the concert would still have been awesome, worth the trip (because of the good band + good venue) even if prince had not so awesomely taken the stage that night of course princes presence doubled the awesomeness of it, but even half of the awesomeness would have still put it as one of the better concerts i've attended. i hope they can showcase local and lesswellknown acts as well, but it seems like one sold out show a week in the warmer months would be pretty easy to do, what do u think? flowing through the veins of the tree of life...purplemaplesyrup

The local talent shows they did in 2014 didn't really go over too well. I'm pretty sure the reason people came out was to see Prince play too. Which he did sometimes, but not always. TRUE BLUE
