Yes you can bring a backpack. They have a room to store it. I asked them the same question, and they emailed me back. My flight takes off at 1:00pm so its going to be a tight schedule for me.

I hope they accept my VIP ticket from the 13th. I bought a GA just in case they don't for the 14th.

The shirts look quite nice. I believe the Graceland guy said all merchandise they're currently selling had been approved by Prince.

I presume that's the Piano & A Microphone tour book? I really wish they were selling them via mail order - I'm in the UK and would love to get hold of a copy...

You should contact them and ask them to consider selling those items online for international fans
I asked Prince what he was planning to do. He told me , I'm going to look for the ladder. I asked him what that meant. All he said was, sometimes it snows in April. - book D.M.S.R.

I think it's beautiful....but for those who want to look, keep in mind that this is probably pictured when the urn was still at the company where it was made so it was not in use yet.

It's interesting how people behind the scenes keep stating things like Prince approved all the merchandise, this is what Prince wanted, etc.

Prince approved some of the merchandise (by default) in that it's leftover merch which was being sold in recent years.

As for the newly created items... Prince stopped using the original Paisley Park logo back around 1989. Seems that it's the powers that be who decided to begin using the PP logo again. Good decision.

It looks cheap, tacky and like a toy dollhouse. Not something becoming of our beloved Prince. Really don't like this... coupled with difficulty thinking that Prince would want his urn to be on display the way it is.

I really hope PP has an opportunity to grow and develope a strong resonating reach, it has a very long difficult uphill battle ahead of it. Too many would love for it to fail so they can say I told you so.

My guess is they keep saying this because many question every decision whether it was something he wanted or not. And it's mostly projection. Someone doesn't like a decision that was made, it's Prince wouldn't have wanted that. Someone thinks the urn is tacky and displaying it at PP is wrong, then it's Prince wouldn't have wanted that. Reminds me of Steve Jobs. Whenever Apple does something people don't like the first thing people say is "Steve Jobs wouldn't have..."

And that's the saddest thing of all. When Funkenberry says he'll get involved once Graceland is out of the picture he is essentially saying he wants it to fail. As if somehow there are no repercussions and someone else can just swoop in and bring it back to life again. Sad.

People are acting like there's some magical wand you wave and magically all the things you want will make PP everything you dream of. It takes money to run that place . LOTS of money, Prince busted his ass creating that place. No decision was made lightly. Graceland knows how to generate hard cold cash to keep the place alive. It must first survive before anything else can happen. This is too big of a gamble to be leaving to somebody's wishful thinking.

Thank you ever so much for saying this. It's unbelievable and embarrassing how much bitching and complaining has been going on about every.single.step. that's made in handling the estate. The bottom line is that none of us have any say whatsoever as to what they will do...it would be nice if people would finally recognize that fact and lay off with all the criticism about everything. Prince is and should be the main focus, all this other shit is not about him anymore, it's about the people who refuse to deal with it.

Everyone is going to have their own opinions on things. Fine. Just don't claim your personal opinion is what Prince would/wouldn't have wanted.

yes !!!

Agree Rogifan and Mumio. I am tired of all the bitching over everything. No pleasing anyone. Complaining when we don't get anything and then some more complaining when something happens. It's like enough already.

Regarding comments being made like respect the family.... decisions are up to them. No one considered how some people don't want to see Prince's urn? Because of where the family has placed the urn it's impossible to avoid. As if Prince having died there wasn't enough, fans must walk past the urn, through the Atrium, in order to tour Paisley Park. In addition, the (unbelievable) urn "publicity" photos pop up on Internet searches for Prince/Paisley Park.

These photos are really offensive. Not just posing smiling and laughing, but CLOWNING around at Prince's piano (the one Prince was just playing his last performances on early this year). WTF? Dude just died in that building barely 6 months ago.

Yep....

We live in a world overrun by tourists
Tourists - 89 flowers on their back...inventors of the Accu-jack
They look at life through a pocket camera...
