I KNEW IT!! Bunker's just posted their October schedule and Chase & Ovation is playing on the 15th!! FP - find someone to watch your cat an extra day or two and go back home Sunday!!!

And I just checked again - Seatgeek is now showing that tickets will go on sale in September...ugh! I'm not going to stop checking though!

This will be my first trip. Altho, I plan on seeing MOA...I think it may be too far out for get together. I think most will stay downtown....All the things (aside from Paisley and Lake area, former Chanhassen homes) are located downtown....

Theatre option sounds great. I definitely want to hit up Bunkers and Dakota Jazz Club too.

I am flying in Wed. the 12th and leaving early the 15th. I would love the stay whole weekend but I can't miss my kids games that weekend!!!

Hopefully there is enough going on Wed, Thurs and Friday...to give me my fill

I've been there a million times and it's mostly hype (IMO)...I'd much prefer to go downtown!

I will definitely be aiming for a double feature on the Wednesday night. Thanks for the feedback about the restaurant as well. Maybe I will try to arrange one on the night of the concert DOWNTOWN...and maybe a late lunch another day at Hard Rock. I'll feel it out

And will see what I can do about Friday, that sounds like soo much fun! Thanks for the info.

You're going to have A LOT more options downtown. You can always drive out to Chanhassen, but other than PP and driving along Galpin, there's not much there.

What's scheduled at First Ave for this weekend?? It would be perfect if they had something like a prince tribute dance party or some thing. I bet a lot of people would be in town for the memorial and I bet it would do well. I am praying for Friday night as it would be ideal. I've been watching the First Ave calendar and there's nothing scheduled in the Main Room at all Thurs-Sat. Almost like they're holding it open for something??

Bunkers has an AWESOME P tribute band, Chase & Ovation, on Saturday, 10/15. I've seen them a couple of times and they are amazing - I definitely plan on going to that show.

I took Weds-Friday off from work and am hoping to connect with you guys while you're in town!!

I've been keeping an eye on First Ave too...theyhave that Prince tribute a week or two BEFORE - it would be smart of them to reschedule...to make it something related. I would go there for sure. trying for the Saturday too but not sure if I can swing all that. Will take a look what my wallet permits

I agree - an Official Paisley Park after dark would be SO AMAZING!!

We should all message Paisley Park After Dark FB page with Pretty pleases and Cherries lol Friday night would be sublime for a PPAD event. Otherwise hoping something else kicks in at First Ave that night. Really not sure if I can make Sat night happen. Was additionally only going to stay two nights, but have turned it into 3...not sure I can do 4.. plus it will not only add the extra accommodation cost but change my initial travel plans so adding an additional $300 plus food/events...If I can make something happen I will....just need to assess the sitch

So this shows how little I go to concerts...who else sells tickets besides Ticketmaster? Money's been tight in recent years so I never go to concerts (but I always made sure I had a little squirreled away if Prince ever came to town). I like your suggestion and I want to be ready when they do go on sale.

I heard that it most likely would be through LiveNation (aka Ticketmaster) because he had a falling out with the other big concert promotion company AEG. But, then there was some speculation that he'd worked things out with them recently and the family might use AEG after all. Best to be prepared for every scenario.

I am a New Yorker that plans to get all plans together once I finish buying a concert ticket. Can I even call it a concert ticket? Anyways, I plan on maybe staying for a few days, I never been there and I want to make a pilgramiage to the home state of the great and honorable Prince.

Hey Jay! Not sure if you are doing public transit or vehicle rental but says it's 30 mins by car from PP to the theatre. First show isn't until about 730pm. Keep it in mind if you can make it

I had to make an adjustment on my own PP ticket too, so that everything will work out

Hope you can join us! Hope to pack the theatre with the Org Fam - will make for such a great experience!
