Not Detroit but in Ann Arbor 4/30 at the Michigan Theater they are playing Purple Rain.

Kelly's Bar in Hamtramck is turning its Sunday night karaoke (4/24) into a Prince tribute. Singing starts at 10 p.m.

Old Miami is having a dance party on Monday (4/25) starting at 9 p.m.

Purple Rain screenings
Cinema Detroit is screening Purple Rain next week Monday (4/25) - Friday (4/29) at 8:00 p.m. Tickets are $9 and available here.

Redford Theatre is also screening a rare 35mm film print on Wednesday (4/27) at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are $5, available here.

Ann Arbor's Michigan Theatre is screening the film Saturday (4/30) at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are $10, get them here.

I'll be at the Redford Theatre on Wednesday! I was a little bummed there wasn't anything going on in Ann Arbor, even the bars weren't really spinning much Prince over the weekend. Definitely going to try and hit up some of the Detroit events.
