Does anyone have suggestions on how or when to get inside Paisley Park? I will be in Chanhssen on June 27.

Niiiice! Have a great time! I've been to Chanhassen several times (when Prince used to have those Celebrations in Minneapolis back in the early 2000s). Not sure about how to get into Paisley Park, but somebody here may know something.

RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

Unless something has changed, Paisley Park is not generally open to the public, but accessible only when there's a special event there or as a rentable facility for multimedia productions. Security there is fairly tight, and the best you can generally expect is to take a few photos of the building as you turn around in the parking lot.

I personally found Paisley Park interesting to drive past the first time or two I was in the vicinity of the Twin Cities, but Chanhassen itself is a pretty sleepy -- and remote -- commuter town. It's got a few nice things to do/see, particularly if you're an outdoorsy type. Otherwise, I highly recommend that you plan the bulk of your time in Minneapolis and St. Paul.

Perhaps a local could offer more insight. Carrie?

You are correct. I've not heard of anyone getting inside without having a legitimate reason or a show/party happening.

Generally speaking the most you can do is drive in to the parking lot IF the gates are open (and they aren't always). Every time we've brought out-of-towners the building itself has been closed and locked up. Sometimes we've been able to snap a few pics outside in the parking lot, but they do have security cams and if the gates are open someone (including security) is on site. If the gates aren't open you can take pics from across the highway, and that's really all.

And yes, Chanhassan is a suburban bedroom community. Not much to see or do and mostly chain restaurants and stores. If you're coming for a visit best to stay in Minneapolis proper and drive out for the visit. There's really nothing out there.

I remember seeing Paisley Park for the first time. My sweetie and I were headed to dinner at Lord Fletcher's. We were on 5, coming up on Audubon, and I was all excited

Last time we were out that way, it was more like bored

lol
