Your hosts DJ SMOGO (Envy, Cazza Karaoke) and SIMON PRICE (Stay Beautiful, Spellbound) present a special nite dedicated 2 the greatest musical genius of the modern age. U can expect 2 hear the cream of Prince himself, plus a scattering of Prince covers, Prince protegees, Prince collaborations, Prince's influences and Prince rip-offs: a housequaking glam-slam of dance-music-sex-romance, guaranteed 2 take U straight 2 erotic city.

U will also see Prince's classic movies and videos on the big screen, as well as special cocktails like the 'PURPLE RAIN' (Parfait Amour-based), 'RASPBERRY BERET' (Chambord-based) and 'HEAD' (basically the same as a 'Blow Job'!), plus 'PEACH & BLACK' shots (half-and-half black Sambuca and Baileys), all very reasonably-priced. Yep, Brighton here.

I'd have loved to check this night it as it's my birthday too, but a group of friends and I are trekking up to the Prince Weekender in Farringdon that night. Hopefully I'll be able to check out another one sometime.

I know the Green Door night last year (after the Duke of Yorks 'Purple Rain' showing) got a fantastic turn-out, so there's obviously a thirst for some purple funk down here every now and then!
