Celebrate the 8th Anniversary of the Purplelectricity Prince Party, Canada’s only recurring Prince tribute party. Plus, celebrate the release of the official new remixes of Prince's "Dance 4 Me" (out on Purple Music with remixes by Jamie Lewis, David Alexander, and Brian Matrix) as well as the new remixes of protegée Bria's "2 Nite". Both original versions appeared on Prince's triple album LOTUSFLOW3R (2009).

Purplelectricity is a video dance party and this is its 28th edition. Purplelectricity features music and videos that span Prince's entire career right from 1978's debut album FOR YOU until 2011's single "Extraloveable". DJ doctor BAGGIE spinning hi-NRG Prince.

This party is legendary and hosted the official label release parties 4 Prince’s 3121, PLANET EARTH, and 21 NIGHTS.

Door prizes (Prince CDs including the new "Dance 4 Me" and "2 Nite" maxi-singles). Glam Slam Cocktails at the bar.

Nope! I've investigated bringing PURPLELECTRICITY 2 Vancouver, but I haven't found a club that's interested and the cost of getting there is a little prohibitive. If it ever happens, I'll announce it on here 4 sure. -- DJ doctor BAGGIE

LOL -- of course I was there! And it was fantastically attended! Sorry 4 anyone who had 2 wait a long time outside in line. The next edition should be in the fall and we'll celebrate the 30th Anniversary of "1999"!
