It would be extremely cool if all the Prince peeps (I won't say fans/fams for those who do not want to be labeled that) not only come to the party March 12 actually socialize and dance. We are SUPPOSED to be there to have fun. For those who don't know, we had people from out of town fly in to see if we could get it started. My Brotha had a messed up leg and STILL got out there and danced. COME ON PEOPLE!!! Get your asses out there and dance or at the very least MINGLE with other Prince people!

If we could party like it's a Friday nite Paisley Party, MAYBE we can get one out there at Paisley???

WOW!!! I'm glad you posted this because there were alot of men sitting and when women asked them to dance they said no, made me think should I ask these brothers if they wanna dance, LOL (if ya know what I mean, LOL) anyway these must be the same people that get to Paisley just to stand along the walls, this time tho I'm getting everybody on the dance floor at least once, so if your there look out for me cuz I'm comming, LOL, it won't kill ya to have some fun...Thanks truth B Told she telling the Truth ya'll

Lav we must be courteous! It's not the fault of the DJ, he has a big responsibilty to keep all them people in the club happy and dancing, I am wrong as well...Being a Prince fam throwing parties all these years in clubs I've noticed one thing! it's there club and they can do what they want! until we are able to buy our own club and play the kinds of music we want (Prince all day and night) we must put up with this (there way), but I for one will stand strong for as long as it takes until the DJ, Club management, bar tenders, etc., recognize that this is serious to me and us! rather it's with this club or another.

The DJ sent Holywine a very detailed note about Wednesday nights and is very disappointed about us not liking his style of DJ'ing, (I kinda fill sorry for the guy) and said something to the effect of some of our people (Prince fams) were asking for different music other than Prince I was like what! and he tried to accommodate as much Prince for us as he could with all the other request that he had gotten. So until we fine another club or Prince opens Paisley for us again this is what we got! and as for Friday nights you know what we talked about and you know what kinds of Music he plays!!!??? and their crowd is a lot more hip-hop than where we are now... and there's not another club I can think of here that would even think about playing as much Prince music as we need, so...

WE WILL MAKE THE BEST OF THIS BAD SITUATION !!!
and if we think about it...it really ain't that bad. The crowd is getting bigger and he is playin more Prince than the first time we were there!

So March 12th here we come ...be afraid, be very afraid, LOL

fams don't die they multiply

IMO, the dj is extending himself to play as much Prince music as possible. There were some non-Prince patrons there and he was required to honor their requests. It did surprise me a little that some of the Prince Fams requested non-Prince music, but then that's their right too. If we want 100% Prince music we would have to rent the club for a private party & arrange with the dj that only Prince music is to be played; that's standard procedure.

I think we're fortunate that this dj loves Prince and created this "Prince night" years ago & has managed to keep it designated as such. For now, without him, we wouldn't have any public place where we could meet & mingle with each other & enjoy this much Prince music.

Thanks to the dj and the club management for all your "hospitality"!!

AND,

for those of you who don't remember a Paisley party, Dustin and Jules don't play ALL Prince music either!

Quit trippin on the Wolfman. He did a great job!

Actually Club Ashe also plays alot of Prince music. The first time I went there they played The Gold Experience from beginning to end. I was impressed. You don't get that just anywhere (not even The Front)!
