(dunno if i should be pinnin a name on the minnesota fan/friend/freek/fam/whatever-base quite yet...)

just stepped in the door from the party at the front in downtown mpls yesterday--yeah, i'ma say "yesterday", it's 1:31 am right now...

anyways--went 2 the party and had a ball...but i got some questions:

1) why were there so many "site lurkers" there??? what i mean by the term "site lurkers" is this: folks would come in thru the front door and i'd come up and ask 'em, "are u on the .org?" they'd say "yeah" and i'd be like, "what's your username?"

they'd answer: "i don't really go on there--i just pass thru..." made me wanna go and kick folks...

2) why were some people sittin around? it wuz so awkward 2 me: people would come in...and sit there. don't get me wrong, some folks did eventually get up and shake a little sumfin-sumfin, but still.

3) natasha, were u there? cuz we wuz lookin out 4 yo ass all nite...u shoulda gave us a description of how u look so we'd know who u wuz...unless u were incognito and didn't wanna dance or wuz out huntin 4 ol' boy...

music-wise, the dj spinned some typical stuff. we almost had 2 beat 'im down so he could hurry up and play "erotic city", tho'. and--oh, lawd...ricco gonna start a damn thread about this later on, i know he is...i didn't know a good 1/2 of the lyrix of the songs bein played (they played stuff like "p control", "tgres", other new shit that i really don't pay heed 2), so he wuz pickin on me like all nite!!

i'ma be the brunt of jokes 'round here now...

awright, i'm super-tired now and i gotta get up 4 work in a few hours, so i'ma cut this a bit short and let some other mpls orger fill in any bits that i left out.

2 all my friends in the MPLS & Minnesota area lookin' 4ward 2 meetin' u all (mayb this spring/summer Vacation)...

The party at The Front last nite was great! -- We had a good turnout & it was cool to meet new people & party with old friends. I think name tags is a good idea; I know there were people I didn't get a chance to meet - nametags would help.

Handsclapsfingasnapz & LavisHh, it was definitely cool to meet you in person!!

I'm glad 2 of our Chicago Prince family joined us - thanks for taking time out of your busy schedules to come & partying w/us!

For all the friends who attended in January & came last nite it was great to see you again!

Yeah, definitely whip that DJ into shape! It was almost as if every song I requested, he made a point NOT to play with the exception of only one!

It was great to see everyone last night...I had a blast! I hate to sound negative...but I dont think MidwestFunkSquad is a good name. First of all, other Midwest cities have their own group (Chicago Nation, Detroit Crawl, etc)...so we need something distinct. We are representing MPLS and that should be in the name. Also...we already have a "squad" in our family...and that is the LA Bumpsquad. Just my opinion...let's get together again soon.

We have a list of people's e-mail addresses from the January club party at The Front & then some more have been added from people who contacted my aol address (either from the org or yahoo). We asked those people for suggestions for our group's name; so far there's only about 4 suggestions.

Please submit your suggestion to ASwtRose2@aol.com. And then people can vote on the choices via the e-mail list.

Thanks Handclapsfingasnapz Good work on the report and I ain't gonna rat on you and the songs it was cool to have ya there!!! Lavish really good to see ya' dancin' and your friend let him know he didn't do bad (dancin) nobody judges at these partys have some fun! Chicago as allways Thanks for supporting when our club gets big enough we coming to Chicago (Jo and April I Love ya'll) maybe we can have Detroit meet us there, just a thought. The new friends we met from Minneapolis, our regular crew Rose, Tameko, Angie, Maria (ooohhh girl), Tia, The couple of friends (insatiable4U hey girl) that came from up state Minnesota, that long drive thanks for coming!!! These partys definately have a chance of growing and with presistance we'll get it done, I ain't quittin till every Prince fan in the state has done at least one party, until next time...Peace
