I will be going to the Friday night show and sitting in Section 107, row 9. My husband and 16 year old son are fighting over who is coming with me, but it will just be the 2 of us and we'll be spending the day in Toronto.

As far as meeting before the show - I guess it depends on whether I sell my 2 extra tickets or not...because if not, you may find me hanging out in front of the ACC yelling "get your Prince tickets here!!!"

Moving to fan gatherings.

Re that extra ticket... i didn't buy mine for Friday yet. Initially thought 4 flights & 4 tickets were enough (taking the whole family) however, after giving it much thought, i realize it is not humanly possible for me to be 20 mins away in a hotel room while the Purple God preforms. So, I'm going alone on the Friday

Sweet! How much are the extras? Thanks for the move, it has been a while and I am a tad rusty. Am making hotel reservations right now.

Going to be in Canada for American Thanksgiving, bwahaha! Take that turkey. Probably will have indian or some such for dinner.

I dunno how to get more people to this often overlooked forum so we can discuss and meet up.

Well, the tickets I have are West Floor 1, row 3. They are the first ones that came up when I went to buy them, so I grabbed them. Face value is $250 each - so I paid $542.25 total for them. I know - stupid right? I'd be willing to take less - I've been trying Ebay and kijiji, and also have them on the marketplace forum. No one has shown any interest so far...

About the hotel - I got a good deal using Hotwire for the hotel - $89 for the 4* Sheraton - just a short subway ride from the ACC!

So....where & when?

I was hoping a local would chime in with a prime location. Otherwise, I can see what is near.

I'm not that far from Toronto, but I'm definitely not a local! We were in the area in the summer though and ate at a nice pub called the Irish Embassy that is only a couple of blocks from the ACC. Not sure if that's what you were thinking, and not sure if there is anything better, closer... Sorry!

Hi, my tix for Friday is at East Floor 1 R4 S8.

Hence my flight is scheduled for arrival at 5pm on Friday I guess there will be not much time left to meet before the show. However, if there is a meet up after the show, let me know where.

How about meeting at the Jack Astors bar which is pretty much right across from the ACC? Any takers?

Which day? Fri or Sat? before or after the show?

However I guess some of us will have a kind of meet and greet on either one or both afterjam shows.

I think the Irish Embassy is a nicer place. Good call. Good to meet some other folks who like Prince as well (my friends and fam don't like him)

I'm game for either. The Irish Embassy is the nicer place(more upscale) than Jack Astors.

There's also the Bier Market on the Esplanade that's a really cool place.

We are 3 whities, I am wearing a sequin dress that reminds me of Tetris pieces. Will be there at 6:45, the latest.

The security don't allow you to change sections, at least they didn't at MSG Fire exits become dance floors!

I can't get a ticket for tonight, they're now only av in pairs .... I'm trying not to cry. I have to wait 24 hours for my purple joy!

Going now, the hotel didnt have hot water and all that stuff. Kinda like paying lots of money to stay in a hostel!

So where did you guys end up going? I needed a bite to eat and actually ended up at this pub too before the show, cause the other places had long waits.

I wanted to apologize for not making it in time. Getting our child out the door was like herding cats! I hope everyone had a great time, stayed at the Aftershow party till it closed, Rashida said that he was playing tonight (Saturday). Whomever has afterparty tickets for tonight is in for a treat!
