I think Yoshi's would be a cool place for an Aftershow, but for some reason can't imagine Prince playing there. It's pretty close to Oracle though. Wishful thinking on my part.

Regarding a possible after show......

Yoshi's doesn't stay open that late, even on weekends. It doesn't seem to fit anyway.

There's a place on Telegraph called the Uptown Night Club. It's right up the street from the Fox Theater. I'm not just throwing it out there because of the connection to the song, but it's the only place I can think of that's usually open anyway and is the right size for that sort of thing. I checked the website of the venue. They have stuff scheduled both nights, but nothing that couldn't be canceled in a hot minute.

I'm actually more interested in a possible stealth show on Tuesday. It would probably be more of a private party to avoid possible conflict of interest issues with the current promoter, but I could see it happening.

That's an interesting theory. I've been wondering what was going down on the off day between shows as well.

I wouldn't doubt that he throws an aftershow and donates it to a local charity. Prince was in San Francisco late last year in the Tenderloin district. It was reported in the newspapers and recall someone posting it in the org. I could have swornt the article said he was spotted in a non profit that helps the homeless in SF.

past after shows in the Bay Area have almost always been at DNA Lounge or Slims. while it is a bit of a trek, it seems more likely to me.

It's all starting 2 sink in......As someone who's been apart of the website since the begining and yet very rare around the Org these yrs....I'm feeling very inspired and as a musician I know hes about 2 turn the light back on 2 my soul...... Oakland, coming back home....my first Prince show since living back here! It's feeling very personal now! wouldn't mind meeting up with a warm Purple Flower as I'll B enjoying the show alone tonight.....

Wow.....it was a huge extra burst of (high) speaking 4 myself...I knew it had 2 B Santana history was made that night as i havn't seen Carlos that energized trip me the fuck out.....in less then a second he made Prince's guitar A Carlos Santana guitar just like that.....black magic or Voodoo baby they both killed it 4 me! Did not see one familer face be it good or bad but riding the bart ride back felt very strange like people kept trippin off me....? See y'all thursday!!
