Glasto 2011...!!

Right...lets get in there early!
Any Orgers out there planning on doing Glasto next year? I'm VERY tempted to sort out tickets. Be nice if we can arrange another UK Orger meet up for the show...last one I did was final night at the O2, and it was an amazing night!

Sorry to tell you but its been confirmed by Moquake that it's not true. sad

A few things..was the final meet up for the last night at the o2 at the Holiday Inn? I remember a few people gathering near the reception area there, was that the one? I was too exhausted to stay, as I was at all the shows and needed to go home. Shame I missed that sounded like fun. smile

Also are you the guy that spilt your drink all down my expensive brand new dress at the dawn experince boat party a couple of years back? lol lol

Awww....no way sad Was so looking forward to finally getting to Glasto and seeing the main man bring it to the masses!

Yup, that was the night! Load of us started off (and stayed) and the Holiday Inn, then on to the Pilot Inn (I think its called...) the pub in the park that leads to the O2, then I think we all went into the Raan Bar (its not there anymore...booo) before heading into the arena. Then the lucky ones with aftershow tickets carried on the party in the IndigO2. Quite simply one of the best nights of my life! Can't believe how long Prince played for, and he kept us at the aftershow until 4:30am...we were all having so much fun, Prince included!

And yes, that was me that ruined your lovely outfit on the boat party the following summer!!! How on earth did you remember that? biggrin Hope the damage wasn't too extensive and the double voddies we clinked glasses on softened the blow! I think it was the unusual boat movement that did the deed!

Have you been to any other boat parties since then? Was contemplating one this summer but I've lost touch with alot of my Prince buddies.

Yes I remember the last night of the aftershow, it was the best night and the saddest too. after I did the rollercoaster ride of doing all the main and aftershows then it was all coming to an end, it was so sad! I cried so many times that night, I wanted Prince to stay forever! We were right up the front and you could see a few times the sadness in Prince's face too. Yeah those Indigo nights were truly magical. I'm welling up just thinking about it!

It was you that split drink on my dry clean only dress then lol Yes the boat was rocky. Hey the only thing that got ruined that night was my brain from too much alcohol! I thought it hilarious afterwards coz the exact same thing happened the night before on that Prince weekender on the friday club night with a different guy! Someone bumped into the back of him and he spilt drink all down the front of my other new dress also! lol

Great weekender and probably the best Prince party I’ve been to. Theres been quite a few parties since then, Barberalla has had a few boat parties, but only went to one of hers couldn’t make the others. And theres been some club nights things organised by different people aswell, yeah they've all been pretty good.

You did real well to do all the main shows and aftershows...must have been expensive though, and knackering! I only managed three main and two aftershows, and I've regretted not going to more ever since! Odd thing was I got a pair of last night tickets including the aftershow quite early on and was struggling to find someone to go with; a work mate ended up coming with me. But then two weeks before the last show it went nuts and you couldn't get tickets for love nor money! Should have held onto my spares!

Ah, so I wasn't the only one that soaked you with booze that weekend then! No wonder you were none too pleased when it happened!! That was a great night though and so nice to meet up with Orgers a year after the O2 shows. I did the Foo Fighters at Wembley Stadium the night before so it was a wicked weekend all round. Also won a cool set of Prince 12" singles on the raffle they did that night (they are now hang on the wall in my spare room!)...ah, good times!

Have to keep an eye open for the next party and make more of an effort to get myself along I think.

The 21 nights was exhausting and expensive, I spent a lot of money on tickets and buying two at a time, giving tickets to friends etc, I must of been mad! I think the excitement of it all took over me a bit lol Looking back it was fun but I wouldn’t do all that again, it was a bit manic and nobody is worth spending that much time and money on. If he was to do a residency like that again I would just do a couple of main shows and just stick with the aftershows, only if they were at small intimate venues though, like the indigo but no bigger.

I heard the last night of the indigo tickets was going for £600! If I had known I would have bought loads of them to sell. Yeah there were loads of people looking for tickets on that last night, they were like gold dust.

When u spilt the drink on me I was in shock, I froze for a moment in time for a couple of seconds lol but afterwards I thought it was hilarious, twice in two nights whats the odds of that! Thinking back now, yeah I remember the raffle! Yes u did win, nice one!

I’m sure there will be some sort of party before the end of this year or by spring.

Well, hopefully he'll come back and treat us to a residency again....I can't see it happening but I'll keep my fingers crossed. Good point on the last night tickets. I was just gutted that I couldn't give them to an Orger who really wanted to go, having already promised them to a friend. There were so many big fans on here that were desperate to be there, it would have brill to have made someone's day.

Yeah, I was pretty mortified when I totalled your drink...I thought I'd ruined your outfit for sure!!...and you looked pretty hot in it if I remember! wink Just glad it didn't ruin your night. Was so much fun, I remember dancing to "Mountains" at the end of the night and wishing the party would go on 'til sun up...so didn't want it to end at 2:00.

Perhaps we can get a gang together for the next purple party!
