Do y'all like Thai? Tommy Thai is a favorite of ours. Good food, nice setting (not overly fancy, but not no-frills) and very reasonable.

Could maybe do dinner 6ish if we do the tour 9? Alexandria about 15-20 min ride from there.

I have food allergies, so I have to be careful with places that list foods like "cashew ___" or that stir-fry with peanut oil.

I don't want to hinder everyone else, so maybe I can grab something at one of the places near the hotel and just hang out while you guys eat.

Kabul Kabob (Afghan in Springfield, there's coupons on the site (I ain't proud ) can't remember which it is, so have to take a ride to see what it looks like)

King Street Blues (Southern, in Alexandria)

Cafe Salsa (Nuevo Latino, in Alexandria)

Never been to any of these, so we'd be venturing same as everyone. Pretty open. I personally tend to lean towards King or Salsa , but like I said...open.

I tend to lean towards King St. Blues over Austin because although it seems to be mainly in this area, it seems a bit more "chain-y". Is Salsa Cafe a complete nay for you? Then off the list it goes.

I drove by the kabob place. While it looks like a place I'd check out, it doesn't seem much on character and I don't want us to be in a spot that's totally blah. It's not like we get to be together all the time.

And shut up about your issues, we will go someplace that is good for the whole group. I'm not not having someone come all the way from NJ (I'm sure everyone feels the same) to go eat in their room.

It wasn't directed AT me, but he said he hates going out with the person with the restricted diet.

ok yall, im scarred, but im making plans to come BECAUSE I CAN...LOL! Im not afraid to drive (1st trip alone that far) but i'll check train prices too. wish me luck!

drop my stuff off,

sleep sunday mornin, (unless thers a nice lil sanctified church nearby) then im back to houston....whatcha think??
