The Belcourt Theatre, Nashville's only remaining independent movie house, is going to be screening a 35mm print of Purple Rain as the midnight movie on July 23rd and 24th.

Tickets are $8.75, or $7.25 for students/military with valid ID.

There will be an org shoutout during the introduction, as well as prizes for whoever wears their finest purple realness. Also, there will be paisley-themed drink specials (the Belcourt has a full bar) and a chance to look for the purple banana.

Went both nights. Met a fellow Org member in the parking lot - he spotted me because of my LotusFlower t-shirt, ha!

By the way - the themed drinks were missing something. No Sex Shooters?

Did you enjoy the show? I was the host/MC both nights. I did notice the Lotusflower t-shirt.

As for the drinks, I will confess that the idea of the Sex Shooter did occur, but we thought we were covering a lot of ground with the Purple Banana and the Lake Minnetonka. It was a big enough crowd, though, that I will certainly expand the drink menu if we run it again.

I was really pleased with how good the print looks.

It was fantastic. I'm in the cast of Rocky Horror that plays there, and it was my first time to come to something that wasn't Rocky.

Maybe we can get Sign Of The Times or UTCM? I'm just being greedy.
