Nu & Old Soul & related roots music
IE: across the board SOUL & Sweet Music inc: Raregroove, Motown, Funk, Disco, 80s Soul, Neo Soul, Credible Hip Hop & R&B, Reggae, Lovers Rock, Soca, Salsa, Afrobeat & Party Jams & other good stuff.

EVENT DESCRIPTION: :
This informal good vibes party with SOUL music as it's backdrop takes
place in N1 each year taking pride in it's cosy atmosphere,
friendliness, keeping bar prices usual with no queues, glists, price
hikes etc. Suitable for those wishing to avoid the cattle market of
the bigger clubs found in the West End, Shoreditch etc. Why pay for
ticket-only events with starting prices of £50+ per ticket to still be
queuing to get in to the club or still waiting to be served at the bar
AFTER it's gone midnight when you can enter free before 9pm at
Hobgoblin in Angel & party til 4am to the whole range of Soul &
related Roots music with live instruments & surprises also lined up.
Keep The Faith & UKSoulJam's Paul Aaaron heads proceedings migrating
through different era's, tempo's, sub genres & regional styles of Soul
IE: from Erykah Badu to Edwin Starr, Bob Marley to Barry White, Fela to

Hi all,

I wasn't sure where to post this as it's not a Prince night, tribute night, fan only night as such - but hearing some Prince at our London Soul event this New Years Eve is guaranteed - which is something hardly any of the other NYE London nights going on in public can boast.

I hope to see some of the London boardsters this NYE

Thanks to the boardsters who made the last Prince night - Garfield & crew - really nice meeting you - great set of people - really nice vibes
& Bob George did indeed come out to play!
Loved those singing along to "My Name Is Prince" also...
Our Prince ft's will be back in 2010, though it has to be said - London is becoming fuller of Prince theme nights this year - so where possible I will be aiming to space out the events & time them to not conflict with the other people's events as much as possible.

This is something the Northern Soul, Weekender Soul & Allnighter Soul event organisers choose to do - it makes life simpler and usually improves attendence rather than the same people being spread over several different events happening on same or similar dates etc.

So there is method to the madness... 0_O...
