there's a place i know about thats 15 mins walk from the venue that has just over 30 rooms that are £83 for one person (double bed) and £103 for a twin room (2 beds), which seems to be about the best deal at the moment. they might do a deal if more than 10 rooms are booked together. at the moment all the rooms are available on the date

i'm trying to find other options, so everyone from all over can stay in the one hotel, but the alternative might be for all UK people to stay at one hotel, and peopple from other countries stay together in another hotel etc, as one big hotel looks like its going to be more expensive. otherwise it's a free for all with everyone staying all over the place

£83 is not bad. a hotel like that for two people sharing would be better price so if u could find something like that would be good.

Maybe U, freedom, london1, savage, all u lot from The Dawn Experience could sort out a package/hotel for the UK fans? that would be cool, coz theres gonna be quite a few coming from the UK the London meet up peeps too.

it's not a dawn experience party!

the main problem is it's not as easy to find hotel deals for a number of individuals or groups of people in another country, especially with the language barrier. i can google till the cows come home, but i don't understand a word of french, and the translation tools are a PITA to use when trying to flick through stuff, and they don't always work properly, such as translating text on images and flash/java etc

of course the other difficulty about trying to find a hotel in a city you don't know, is finding one that's near the venue and with good travel links etc. you can usually find one thing on your choice list, but getting everything at the price you want is another story, and it seems paris can be an expensive town

the hotel in mind is only 15 mins walking distance from the club, which is in a very nice area of paris. so it should only take about 5 mins by taxi, and i think it's important to factor these things in. the £83 room looks like it has a double bed, so fine for some people. if you really want two beds then its another £17, which is £8.50 each. so it's about £41.50 per person to share a double bed, or £51.50 per person to have a bed each in a room, so that's not bad at all.

the hotel only has about 30 rooms and right now none are booked as i haven't told anyone which hotel it is. this seems to be one of the cheapest hotels in paris that's not on the outskirts of town, and being close to the venue is a great benefit

my suggestion is that the london/uk lot book up this hotel, and then after you've booked it, i'll post the name of the place so other fans can book any remaining rooms. i'm very much against trying to seperate fans into little cliques like orgers vs quakers, but i think the reality is that coming from another country to somewhere that doesn't speak the same language, it's probably more assuring if fans can stay together at least if they aren't travelling together, and it doesn't seem to be possible to find a place that's big enough for everyone to stay at, so the next best thing would be to try and get the UK fans to stay together in the same place (if they want to), as it seems that outside of france there is a huge interest in UK fans wanting to come, a few of which already have tickets booked

there are places like holiday inn, but they are about 144 euro per night, so much more expensive. the place in mind looks pretty cool too. if you wanna have a night in paris you probably want to do it with someplace more charming than a hotel that you wouldn't be able to tell what city or country your in from within the building

so if you guys are interested in this hotel i'll give you the details, and then once you've all booked up, or a week or so later i'll post the link on the org etc and let everyone get a change to snap up the rest of the rooms

so far i know there are fans coming from belgium and germany for sure, and i'm waiting to hear about spain, holland and italy. i think we all know one or two fans from those countries so hopefully they can make it (princess, billyjackbitch, delores, sammy, toto, etc)

I know its not a Dawn Experience party! it just seems everyone is going from there it was just idea. No worries, u sort it out then.

Anyway i wont be booking anything to soon coz im off for a hoilday in Jamaica next week and wont be back until xmas and then spending that with family so won't be able to book anything until Jan.

The £83 hotel sounds the best option by far, 15 mins walk is very near and there shouldnt be many bookings by tourist in March, so cool!

Please remember I am french and here to help you if you need to know things about Paris.

There are some tricks to know like the metro tix, which you have to buy to make it cheaper, places to buy food, good restaurants...

I am a parisian. I know my city.

I can give you advises, and maybe organize a meet up on saturday noon for you to discover the town before you go to the party for an example, or tell you some places that are a must seen in the short period of time you will be here.

I would be really glad to welcome you in my city and give you the best advises for you to have a great time.

I was looking up hotels last night I came across one on Rue Saint Germaine (apologies if that is spelt incorrect)..looked pretty good I'll check again and post the name of it.
Gonna book my P Party tix now smile

you can use google translate or babelfish and paste the URL and it converts everything to a mix of goobledegook and the language you want, so you can figure out the jist of things

st germaine is not only a band, but the general area or near enough to the venue, from what i can tell. but i don't know if my map reading and geology skills are worse, or my understanding of foreign languages. stick the two together and you'll probably end up in jail in germany or something

don't get me started on iraq. i spent ages on google maps looking for weapons of mass destruction but couldn't find a bloody thing!

i'm new to paypal and all that jazz too, but if you send an email with your name and address and how many tickets you want etc to the email address below (which is on the flyer) you can buy tickets that way, and use the email address to send money via paypal. there's not a website as such or anything to click, you just email your order and send via paypal and the tickets will be mailed to you. bear in mind that virginie is french so english isn't her first language. if you get stuck you can either email her or post here

Yes it is. The area is called "Saint Germain des Prés". It's in the 6th borough.

The area is also called "le quartier latin"

There's an hôtel close to the venue (2 minutes walk) called L'hôtel du Dragon, with good rates. Do ask me more info if you're interested.

There's a pub called "Le dragon" for people who want to meet b4 the party.

A bagel store for snacking

Many english people are about to travel too, so it will be HOT HOT HOT !!!

Half the tix are sold yet, they are selling well and the tix are sent and the purple people liked it a lot !!!

I have more girls than boys who bought their tix =>Men, make some noise and buy your tix !!!

Keep it up

no photos, for your memories only! lol

just over half the tickets are gone, sales are picking up after the new year and there is now about 7 weeks to go, so if you get your orders in you will get tickets no problem

we are fairly certain that all the tickets will be sold out in advance of the night, so we want to ask everyone to make sure they get a ticket before travelling, as we don't want people coming from all over europe and being left outside. once the tickets are sold out, we won't be able to let anyone else in, so you won't be able to pay at the door. if coming from another country we suggest you buy your tickets at least 2 or 3 weeks in advance to allow for mailing times from france, as that's where the tickets will be sent, usually within a day or two of ordering

so far there are fans with tickets from uk, belgium, germany and france, and i expect we will have a few from holland, italy and spain, as there are a few hardcore fans from those countries

there will be 8 hours of non stop prince music from 9pm to 5am (yes 5am in the morning!), non stop dancing all night, no bands, no competitions, just prince music that you can dance to. as well as prince, the sounds of his best related artists hits from the time, vanity 6, appollonia 6, the family, sheila e, and more

as well as the 8 hours of non stop music, there will be 8 hours of non stop videos on the plasma screen, showing the latest, the greatest, and the rarest prince and related music videos all night. this is a specially compiled video experience that's never been seen before

this is a marathon prince night, the longest prince night there has ever been, one artist, one dj, one venue, one night
