25th Anniversary Purple Rain Party @ HEAD in LA: Saturday July 25th!! Club HEAD is celebrating the 25th Anniversary of Prince's film Purple Rain on Saturday July 25th @ The Palms Bar @ 8572 Santa Monica Blvd. in West Hollywood, California.
Doors open @ 7pm Cover is: $5 B4 10pm. $10 after! A full screening of Purple Rain will kick off the evening at around 7:30pm with a night of dancing and celebrating afterwards til 2am. Songs, remixes, visuals and videos will fill the evening on a wall sized screen! Everything to do with Purple Rain will be seen and heard: The Time, Apollonia 6, Prince and The Revolution and more including live clips from the Purple Rain Live Tour in 85 and much more! Added 2 the mix will B jamz by Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis produced artists as well as Prince produced artists. Giveaways of the 2DVD Anniversary issue of Purple Rain will B raffled off as well as copies of the screenplay and a special personally autographed copy of Wendy and Lisa's new colored vinyl record, White Flags of Winter Chimneys autographed by both Wendy Melvoin and Lisa Coleman recently at their meet and greet @ Largo. This is sooooo sad: I will be in LA [for the first time in my life!] but only on July 27 till 31st, need to be at Comic-Con in San Diego 22-26... 
Any more LA-based parties/fan gatherings, no matter how small?... | |
