I can't let you diss my Lovesexy D.C. crew like that. I wasn't there, but I think Lovesexy D.C. does a good job. Just because Chicago has a bunch of Prince wannabees trying to dance like Prince on Atkins (I saw you'll at the Celebration) doesn't mean that D.C. doesn't know how to party.

Why weren't you there? If you had been, then you could respond more intelligently.

Chicago is not a bunch of Prince wannabees, rather a group that knows how to party like Prince. For Lovesexy DC it is over, and if you don't know what I'm talking about you better ask somebody.

Listen here, smartass...I've been in LSDC for almost 8 years. If you don't like the way DC gets down, then move your ass to Chicago or Detroit Or better yet, if you have a complaint or an idea, instead of bitching about it on the Org, trying to make people LOOK bad, why dont you take your concerns or ideas to Kathy. Let's see how much better YOU could do it...Kathy Jentz works her ass off to plan our get-togethers, and we always have a good time, no matter where we are. You've obviously never been to our parties at the Metro Cafe. Everytime we partied there, we ALWAYS brought the house down. So you shouldn't be so quick to DISS someone, when you know hardly anything about them. The folks from LSDC are my friends, and I'll be damned if I let a newjack like YOU say anything bad about them.

P.S. Kathy's email (if you care enough to send her a suggestion) is laserblast@aol.com

I'm just saying that we act our age. I saw you'll at the celebration and it seemed like the folks from chi-town were just trying to get attention.

Let's just call it a lucky guess. wink Or the fact that if you had been to any our parties in the past (Like Mr. English and I have been) You'd know better than to say that LSDC is lame.

Our LSDC gatherings are so that we can enjoy ourselves, not to prove anything to ANYONE, including you. Don't join us if your purpose is to see whether we meet your approval. We'll still have a good time! If you do decide to come and you don't enjoy it, then so be it. You'll know not to come again, won't you?

Excuse me but... just what in the hell are you talking about “wannabees”??? Wanna Be What??? I am a Chicagoan, born and raised. I am proud to be associated with the Chicago NPG Music Club, formerly the Chicago Nation. And Oh Yes... as Diamonds said, our monthly parties are indeed off the Hinges! People come from as far as Michigan, Wisconsin and Minnesota to attend our parties. I have never been to a Lovesexy DC function so I cannot comment on that, however I do have friends associated with LSDC and I have much love for them. I did go to a NPNY party once and, to be honest, if I didn’t know there was supposed to be a Prince party going on, I would’ve never known because they played more non-Prince music than they did Prince music. But that was 2 years ago so, I’m gonna give NPNY the benefit of the doubt that their parties have come up since my experience with them.

Me and my small group of friends have been to all 3 Celebrations and, along with some of the other fans that come from out of Chicago, our only purpose is to enjoy ourselves, meet great people and celebrate the music of Prince. I could give a Rats AZZ about getting attention! Just who’s attention are you talking about anyway?? Prince??? Everybody knows that brotha knows all, hears all and sees everything that goes on in his domain Paisley Park. No one has to try to get his attention. You make rash generalizations about fans from Chicago…. Have you met ALL of them? I don’t claim to know ALL the fans out of Chicago, and I live here, but I do know a large percentage of them. All the ones I know are very nice people who respect Prince and his house, and only come to Paisley to have a good time which, I’m guessing here, is what Prince wants us to do. My group of friends specifically are very approachable and respectful of the other fans that come there from all over the USA and the world (we don’t cause trouble, we don’t bother nobody)... and that’s why our Celebration circle has grown to include other fans from around the globe! It was one of my “attention seeking” buddies who went and bought all that chalk so that people could draw messages to Prince all over his driveway. Everyone had a lot of fun with that and Prince even got a big kick out of it too! And it was my cousin, another “wannabee” out of Chicago, who got Prince to reduce the price of water that week. People want to roll with us because we have FUN and know how to enjoy ourselves!

At the last Celebration, I happened to notice certain people who did a lot of standing around just watching others - they didn't seem to get excited about anything. They would go to the shows and just sit, like the music didn't move then at all. Were YOU part of that wack crew? hrmph I can't stand stuffed shirts - and that's the very impression I am getting about YOU! You think that because people enjoy themselves, they aren't acting their age and are only vying for attention? That's some of the most absurd bullshit I've ever heard!

In the end, I suspect all of your bogus observations are resulting from the large quantities of Hater-Ade you’ve obviously been consuming! Take off that tired ass suit and tie Mr. DonnyEnglish, quit standing around judging others when you have absolutely no idea what you are talking about and learn how to have a little fun.

Peace & much love to my friends in Lovesexy DC.

ok Diamonds now ya know ya opened up a can of worms here...

Ayone one who takes time to plan any events should be Thanked for their efforts, even if its not what you wanted it to be. I help plan parties here in Detroit. We make sure to balance different events from club parties (with our own great Dj Antone!) to HouseQuakes (modeled after DC's own house parties). At those events they go from anywhere from chillin with new cd's & hangin with great people to all out dancing and getting down on a makeshift dancefloor. In fact this past October we all went out to haunted houses and a hayride as a group for fun.

The point is there are different parties for different people. Choose what you want to be part of and enjoy.

DONT disrespect someone else's enjoyment

did U ever stop to wonder
why U put another down?

shakes head at Donny shake
first off how you gonna start a reply with "I cant let you diss" and then go on to diss Chicago? even tho I am from Detroit, I am also part of the Chicago group as well as NPNY and Lovesexy DC. these groups are full of great people that enjoy each other as well as a common bond of Prince.

maybe you shouldnt judge people and the way they want to have fun. have you ever heard the phrase Dance like no one is watching? what that means to me is that you should have fun in what you do without fearing how others may judge you.

In response to the infamous remarks made by DonnyEnglish, a friend of mine who's profile is not yet set up for posting, asked me to file this response on her behalf:

Korean Lady said:

OK Donny, I am a newcomer to "The Org", but I have been blessed to be friends with the "wannabe" "attention getting" Chicago crew (well, some of them: one of them actually happens to be my roommate, so watch it sucka!!).

These people are an absolute DELIGHT to be around and all I have ever witnessed is them having all the fun they can. So, Mr. Hatin' Like a Muh-Fuh, don't get your panty's in a bunch. You weren't even at the party!! There's really no need for me to add fuel to the flame: I believe several people have already pulled your card. So, hold it down in DC and step aside and let the Chicago crew "do the damn thang" as they typically do.

Hater-ade must have been on sale this week...

AprilReigns, RedZRyder...and the rest of the Chicago crew (sorry RiRi, I don't know your "Org" handle)...
