Prince Purple Rave Party... THANK U. I like to thank everyone who attended the Purple Rave Party and made it such a huge success. You did us all proud and raised a total of £574.42p for charity. Which will be split and equally donated to both Centrepoint and Love4OneAnother charities... Thank U all for your kind support.
I like to send big thank you's to the following... The list is long so please bear with me... Unique (a major driving force behind this party - I could not have done this without you mate - thanks 4 your help and advice), the beautiful Auralee for her kind and more than generous donation to the charities (we did get a chance 2 dance...  , Gav & Sam (Uptown) - thanks for being Master of Ceremonies and both your help on the night - I truly appreciate it, cool Ben (got 2 meet you at last..!!!) & Val (prince.org), Nick Gray,Le Freak (too funky.., James (sorry things didn't go exactly as planned - no hard feelings), Angela & Paul, Di, Rico, the one and only Partyman (rocks a party like nobody can  ) ,Andy & Gina from Australia, Stein Larsen & All of GlamSlam who were absolutely fantastic - real music by real musicians, Chris Rivedal u were so cool...!!!, Dave Lewis & Crew of Unicorn PA systems for doing an excellent and professional job - the sound was first class...!!!, my little sis Jackie & Patrick, Ceri Adams, Caroline & all the bar staff @ Extra Time for looking after us so well, sexy Alexa, Adrian of Madhouse, Sophie & Ross of the BBC, Imran, Nicola (Mayte319), Sammy, yo Dre... where's my free CD...???  , Maggie @ Centrepoint, Shothelove @ Love4OneAnother charities, Prince & The NPG for the music, anyone else behind the scenes who I might've unintentionally forgotten, and last (but not least) all of U who attend and blew the roof sky high...!
For personal reasons I have decided to "retire" from organizing anymore parties for the forseeable future in order to try and regain my life back. It may return in a couple of years time but that very much depends on how the wind blows. Thanks for being a part of the Experience. Until the next time... Peace Freedom. | |

Highlights of a beautiful night... very personal :Nuts:
1. Sweating like a chicken: just this weekend, I had never walked so many kilometres (miles? yards?) with high heels while sweating like a chicken. Barbican station was closed because of the firemen strike (it has no stairs just elevators as I was told) and everytime I asked someone for the best way to get there I got a different answer... the tour had one good side, I bumped into a friend in the subway¡¡¡ London is not that big at all
2. Floors: first stop when I arrive, the DJ booth in the ground floor DJLeFreak extremely concentrated in his work and there was nobody in his floor... :O unbelievable :O he sure had fun playing for his very close friends but people were missing his work which is just amazing :O...where were everybody? Second floor, I went up and the place was packed, Unique was playing Prince and the BBC was recording it. First floor was the quiet area where we could have a nice talking and buy the tickets for the raffle.
3. The gang: shouting and hugging and kissing when we finally met... RedFeathers the one and only Pluma Roja, Her "I Wood die 4 U" Sister, Mellow go girl¡ , Savage sexy dancer, JDInteractive gimme the mike baby... Tom the artist formerly known as Sammy, Frank getting stuck in the doors and dying from a balloon attack Marina you've won the gold medal lady for being awake so many hours and still smiling, Ben and Val... "oh you are Beeennn???¡¡¡¡ oh oh oh" over and over and over again Dre  the sweetest artist in the world I'm missing your kisses right now  Gav and Sam, you're so nice hope to see you soon guys you did a fantastic work
4. I wish U heaven: there were many balloons all over the party stuck on the ceiling... Redfeathers, Wood Sister, Mellow... we were dancing all together to GlamSlam. I took one balloon while I wish U heaven was being played... the very first moment they sang the chorus I released the balloon and it got slowly to the ceiling... PlumaRoja was so touched she had tears in her eyes¡¡¡
5. Where's Anji? it was much harder to find than Wally. Frank, Marina, Pluma Roja, Wood Sister we decided to stop anyone and ask him are you Anji? some people said no, some others said it will depend what for, just one said no, but I went to the Celebration where’s Anji? was the question of the night when finally Anji appeared we kept on asking everybody are you anji? it’s gonna be a classic in the chatroom
6. The raffle: how can it be possible that Unique had 2 winner tickets? I was there he really had them¡¡¡ he's the lucky one no doubt
7. John Whitewell: I got your drumstick and your rice grain  thank you you should know that it's a very good weapon for whappers :O someone whapped me and I beat him with the drumstick... the only whapper I accept is Dexy Sexy...
8. 2 in the morning: ¡¡¡¡ Unique¡¡¡ I’m gonna kill you next time I see you, how can you do this to all of us?? We wanted to party ‘til dawn  … we were dancing not that close and not that slow to DJLeFreak when the party was over :Mad2: and don’t tell me it’s the law…
Now back home, sound and safe and happy Thank you all for a beautiful night

It was a fantastic night y'all!!!
It was so much fun staying in all Saturday night and doing absolutely nothing on my computer instead of being in London. Firstly I just wanna thank my mum 4 getting so worried about me going she had 2 play the guilt trip on me and beg me not 2 go down 2 London by myself. Secondly I wanna thank Freedom 4 being a complete goit and making my other Rave Party thread totally useless. U may aswell delete it Ian... Glad every1 had a good time. Hopefully the next chance i will have 2 meetin any of U will be at the Celebration. Well at least I wasnt there 2 ruin your night!! yet again, he's shown that his hard work has paid off and put together a faultless superb event. great to put faces to so many prince.org regulars and lets hope we can all get together MORE often. Hi all.
I just wanna say a HUGE thankyou to Ray for a great night out! You were gererous with your time and money, and went far beyond the call of duty. Appreciation to you in abundance young man! DJ Unique was kickin' and the 'house band' GLAM SLAM were phenomenal! Their take of Irresistable Bitch/I Wish U Heaven/Irresistable Bitch was a highlight for me. I was lucky enuff to share a meal with them the night b4 the parTy, and they are as nice a bunch of people as they are gr8 musicians.
I understand that this parTy may have taken its toll on you Ray, but I for one do hope that your own circumstances next year permit you to once again make a lot of 'appreciative' people HAPPY once more. In these troubled times, it's refreshing to be able to share a moment of joy with friends/fans/folk alike at an event such as this. It's really rounded off nicely the trio of ONA London shows, in style! MsSerendipity, U put on a per4mance of "Girls & Boys" which was true 2 your cover version Gav thanx once again 4 getting me the squeeze, U know what :I: mean! Mr. Margolin, thanx 4 purchasing a CD, it was TRULY an honour 2 meet U... Katt, :I: really wish U were there. RedFeathers..."Papa"... well, U know :I: had a great time and say hello 2 Sarah 4 me!

I can honestly say I have never met such a sweet, kind, warm, funny and crazy girl as Delores! You are great! You made everyone's night, we all love you and I think the party would not have been the same without you! Thank you for coming so far to the London party!   For Delores!!!

Lmao at Where's Anji! I haven't slept since the party because I wanna know Where Anji is!!! If Anji is about, can you please make yourself known because it is driving me crazy! and before you say that you ARE Anji, are you 24 too? What about the man in the white shirt that ran and skipped upstairs to get his coat when he told you he was infact Anji! How funny! he was lying of course. I think we may never find Anji, but with the help from everyone on the Org we may be that bit closer to finding him. I think I should put his photo on milk cartons and our chances of finding him will be much higher!

I am not happy about that. I bought 6 tickets instead of one so my chances of winning increased 6 times over...So why did I not win? Somebody please explain!

Whoever got a John Blackwell drumstick at the concert, please throw them in the trash. They are worthless! Now Delores being a very lucky girl indeed managed to get a very rare one from none other than John Whitewell! Please be happy for her and don't get too jealous! I am sure Delores is a millionaire now with her priceless drumstick! (and it is made from real wood!)

Thank you ray for organising such a great event! I appreciate a lot of hard work and effort must have gone into making the party happen and work but I am sure everyone will agree it was all worth it in the end.
I think everyone did have a lot of fun. For me it was a great opportunity to meet some wonderful people and Orgers (do they come under the same catagory? Maybe not! ) 
Whatever, I have not laughed so much in ages! As I have mentioned before, Delores - Party Super Star - much love to a very special person.
The people from the North - Savage (Sexy Dancer), Col, TheMellowOne, and the cute but very naughty JD! s to you all and I hope we can arrange our own little get together very soon.

I came, danced, partied, got introduced (thanks to Unique) to Delores, and partied some mo'...I had no idea she was making her way from Spain but what a pleasant surprise?!
Red didn't look I thought she was going to, she was much prettier in reality  Funniest of all, I got to meet DreZone, hair all funky like QuestLove from The Roots, and he even drummed a lil.' Also, saw Sammy perform Girls And Boys but didn't get to say hello, next time for sure...
As for what I thought of the party, personally speaking I would have preferred less Glam Slam (the tribute band) and more DJ's tearin' it up on the decks. Where were you, Unique?! LeFreak rocked it on occasion but I would have liked it to have been more hardcore. As for venue-wise, the Extra Time Bar meant the drinks were ridiculously cheap but I thought we could have gone a lil' more uptown? Hopefully, there'll be a next time where I'll get to groove with more of y'all and meet some other of the cool UK brothas I've enjoyed meeting here, namely Boris and Step.
If anyone's going to the Celebration next year, just remember to ask for me Anji will be in the Paisley house partying with Chamomile | |

Wow! How does everyone here know everyone? I went there and I met everyone for the 1st time! For everybody who doesn't know I was the Indian guy who was singing outside in the street afterwords - it was SO nice to meet all you cool people - I've posted already on alt.music.prince but just to repeat, I had a TOTAL BLAST! The only thing missing from the night was the Continental and 319 - 2 I would have LOVED and I thought would be just about staple for nights like this - where were they, mr. DJ? , but fck that, it was FUN FUN FUN! I would love to meet up with all of you again, and this time find out who everyone is, which kinda leads into the fact that - WE HAVE TO DO THIS AGAIN! SOON! Who's up for some getting together? Hey, organisational skills would look good on my CV! So...when?

first of all, a big thank u to Ray and the others who made it possible .. i had a great time .. delores, if it would've been up to me .. i would have continued playing until the dawn and beyond .. and for those who wondered why i didn't play this and that song, well, that's the hard part about playing prince .. so many songs, so little time! i really wanted to do more special things but the sound behind the dj-booth was terrible, at times i couldn't hear what i was doing .. but, no excuses .. you all were a great audience and it was lots of fun .. my birthday is coming up soon (in march) and that will be the time for the next belgian prince party .. i hope to see u all there!! -- love 4 one another is the only way --

Hey guyz, the one, the only, GENUINE PARTYMAN! Thanx to all who organized the show, Glam Slam were FANTASTIC, Lenny Lenny Lenny, or is that Dre? Hmmm, was cool to meet! Lodger cool to see you out, complete with cool sister (?)Gav, cool too! I think my personal highlight was I was lucky enuff to meet the stunning Miss Torun Nordbryhn. A reason to visit Norway. Hmmm I think I will make the journey one day!
Also to be recognised by so many, I guess I did make an impression last year, or a complete ass, but I do my best!!! Well I'm now off to Las Vegas, where I'm sure I'll see a fantastic show.
